Snakes are hermaphrodites, and can impregnate each other simultaneously. When they have an organism, its really something to watch.

While there are a few species of snakes having only females, most of them have male and female, and cannot reproduce without each other.
Earthworms are hermaphrodite, and houseflies, but in snakes, that's just not usually the case.
The overwhelming majority of snakes require both sexes to reproduce.
