All it really boils down to is who you like more. Both sides have done bad shit, so all people do is pick the side they like more and go on saying the other side are a bunch of brainwashed, right wing, evil oppressors. I apparently like Israel more, while Xexon and some other like the palistineans (I know, misspelled) more. There is no way to resolve the conflict, especially with so many hard-line people. So, why don't we all just stop complaining about it on this forum, because, lets face it, all of this typing isn't doing shit about the situation over there. Plus, even if we all argue till the end f time, Xexon will go on with his (and I've been dying to say this) fucking absurd anti-Israel campaign, and he rest of us will go on with our lives and shit will basically stay the same. Nobody has ever changed another persons opinion over the internet, well maybe once or twice, but it extremely rare. Why don't we all go get a life (myself included) and stop bitching about this on an utterly pointless and miniscule forum? The Mushroom Man
My point is to keep this subject visible. When it falls out of public awareness, thats good as giving it permission to continue as it is. It can't continue as it is. The only reason people have put up with this this long is their ignorance about whats going on. They don't know that their taxpayer dollars are going to finance an apartheid government that is terminal with racial hatred. This fact seems to escape our mass media for some reason. If Israel expects to survive, it going to have to give up the idea of being a "Jewish" homeland. You may see this forum as small and insignificant. Yet, it still reaches more people than standing on a street corner with a sign in your hand. To bring visibility to a problem is to be able to deal with it and cause change. To make it stay in the closet is to do nothing but put off the sorrows for yet another generation. I will support a united Israel. I will never accept a two state solution. Both the governments of the US and Israel are pursuing a policy that has zero chance of working. They're buying time until the people of the Middle East are exterminated. Our taxpayer dollars need to be going into something a little more constructive than feeding a beast that will eventually turn on us. Israel has cozied up to us for a reason. Protection, until it can grow. x
reality is reality. I don't care for Israel or Palestine, opinion don't change reality though. what it really really comes down to, is your belief system...although it's best if you don't have one.
Xexon, even if Israel gave up the idea of being a Jewish homeland, it would still be exactly that. Even if it was all peaceful and people of all religion lived there happily, many jews would still call it the jewish homeland because of jewish history in the area. Not to say that the other religions wouldn't/shouldn't call it their homeland as well, but expecting the idea of the area that israel occupies as a jewish homeland to simply fade away is kind of wishful thinking. It's like saying that Native Americans need to stop thinking of North America as a "native American Homeland." All fo the people in Israel and the middle east as a whole should stop fighting over something as petty as religion, yes, I agree with you on that, but apart from the fighting, why can't israel be viewed as a jewish homeland, amongst other things? The Mushroom Man
I'm not against people wanting to be near the land that their respective religions deem as holy. But these same religious people are being lead like a bull with a nose ring. Their voting power is being harnessed for bad agendas. By the time they figure that out, this politically modified seed will already be dispersed through the world. A fourth reich is not out of the question. The world has forgotten the lessons that lead to number three. x

the americas are no more indian lands than they are anyone else's lands. the american indians came from asia, if you want to know who was in the americas first. just google the word olmec.if the disasterous immigration policies america keeps pursuing are to continue. everyone but americans will own america. why can't israel be considered a jewish homeland? because, if you do that you support nationalism.
Nationalism is fine as long as its for the right reasons. You can promote a nation and still not endorse the government that controls it. So it is with me and Israel or me and the United States. Most Israelis are clueless about the intentions of zionism in the same way Americans are clueless about the Neocons and the New World Order. Both my friends here locally were born in Israel. Its the only home they ever knew until they came to the US. They are true nationalists because of birthrights, but all those who have come to Israel from the four corners of the earth as immigrants can't say that. They come there for religious reasons mostly. When you convince 10's of thousands of people that Israel is "THEIRS" because of religion, you have created nothing but trouble. And if there's an ulterior motive attached to that religion (political zionism is a perversion of religious zionism), you have the stage set for nothing but friction. It's an explosive combination. Engineered to be that way too. x
back in the ancient times palestinians and the israelites shared that land it was a feudal age then too, history repeats itself
There is a momentum that is starting to finally set in, that maybe everything we've been taught about Israel and Jews is a fabrication. There's a book, currently on the best seller list in Israel, that deconstructs some of the myths very effectively. Written by a history professor at Tel Aviv university, its very damning to the zionist cause. A review: "Accordingly, the “Jewish people” is a “made up” notion consisting of a fictional and imaginary past with very little to back it up forensically, historically or textually. Furthermore, Zand – who elaborated on early sources of antiquity – comes to the conclusion that Jewish exile is also a myth, and that the present-day Palestinians are far more likely to be the descendants of the ancient Semitic people in Judea/Canaan than the current predominantly Khazarian-origin Ashkenazi crowd to which he himself admittedly belongs. .Astonishingly enough, in spite of the fact that Zand manages to dismantle the notion of “Jewish people”, crush the notion of “Jewish collective past” and ridicule the Jewish chauvinist national impetus, his book is a best seller in Israel. This fact alone may suggest that those who call themselves the “people of the book” are now starting to learn about the misleading and devastating philosophies and ideologies that made them into what Khalid Amayreh and many others regard as the “Nazis of our time”. " Taken from: http://www.redress.cc/zionism/gatzmon20080908 When you see Jews taking the zionist bull by the horns, you can't help but smile, because you know this is the way it should be. I believe change starts at home. x
Maybe he's referring to Christian zionism?. Orthodox Jews have no love of these people at all. The secular zionists are pretty cozy with them however. (for a reason) The only reason Israel tolerates them is because US aid to Israel would be in danger if it were not for their pro Israel voting power here in the states. The whole neocon strategy is dependent upon the Christian faithful showing love for Israel. Break this hypnotic stare, and watch both neocons and zionists run for their war criminal lives. x
I'm quite familar with the bible, as I was raised as a southern baptist. My thoughts on the book are a matter of public record in the religious forum. When you become "God aware", you instantly see all the hearts of people around the world. They're like stars in the sky to me. Pain registers like a red flag. I see the pain in both sides of this conflict. There is no emotion attached to what I see. I examine the cause of it and prescribe a solution to end it. Zionism is first on the list because of the potential of nuclear weapons being used. So this is where I am hardest at work. And since I am within one of the contributing nations of this problem, I work on what is closest to me. The US/Israel tie. x
i agree. its for good intent, then try. but what is your idea? displacing millions of jews from their sacred homeland? its hard to find one.
Not at all. You can no more send all those Jews back to where they come from any more than you can send all the negros back to Africa. You must deal with what is in place. The ONLY solution for Israel is to be united as one people. Israelis. Not Jewish. Not Arab. Just Israelis. This is an idea that is building in strength around the world and it needs to be encouraged. A two state solution is just pure rubbish. Its like when I was growing up in the old south. We had white and black drinking fountains, and lots of trouble. There will never be peace with that kind of division. x
But not under a one world government run by zionists. And that, dear friend, is their intention. The USA is their muscle. At least until they assume power, then they will destroy us so we can't rise against their New World Order. Interesting times for us dragonslayers. x
