The new Chinese ones that came out are fascinating given the current events on the Korean peninsula. China calls NK a spoiled child and says it has far less influence there than the west thinks. Predicts downfall of NK. Says it could handle 300,000 refugees but would not rule out using the military to seal the border. Most importantly though it appears China is warming to the idea of a reunified Korea under South Korea's control even in an alliance with the US as long as what was North Korea doesn't see US troops and as long as South Korea remains on friendly terms with China. Apparently everyone hates North Korea.

Has anyone seen any government statement from any country which doesn't condemn Wikileaks? It seems they all are united against it - US, Australia, Iran, Russia, France....

You mean besides Skip's post a few pages back?

I think they will say anything, pay anything, and do anything to shut him up.

I will also bet something else... The day they find a way to kill him, or otherwise silence him... every single document that wiki leaks has ever been sent, will be made public across the net.

Personally, if I were him, I would be keeping the juiciest and most damaging bits back, and waving them in the faces (figuratively speaking) of those in the appropriate places and saying... You think what I have already done is bad? Keep fucking with me, and this is next...

Robert Gibbs, just said on CNN that not only are they not afraid of what one guy on one website does (wikileaks), but also they are not just working for the 300 million americans, but the whole world...

I would like to state for the record... They DO NOT speak for me, work for me or have my hopes behind them... In fact, I would say it is more then fair to state that I am behind Assange 100% on this.

what's funny/sad about the wikileaks stuff is that a lot [most?] of what i've seen there has been known for years

    and ignored for years

oh, and, i think most of the official hysteria is fake, purely designed to support their branding of j.a. as some kind of terrorist

so, expect additional erosion in the freedom department . . .

One of the things I find funniest about all of this is that if it was you or me, and we let someone on our computer, and they downloaded our info and posted it online, everyone would say "It's your own fault for trusting the wrong person" and then we would all laugh at them...

Of course... you and I don't have an army, secret police organizations, spys, nukes and so forth... lol

    Try real assassination.
I was going to start a new thread but since I can never tell what is new or old I guess I'll just post it here -

Multiple high-profile politicians call for murder of Julian Assange

Huckabee and an ex-Pentagon offical call for execution of original source.

    While others are more direct:
