arab leaders have been against iran for ages

there's that religious conflict thing, ya know

plus the ones with oil, and a few sensible ones without [jordan], are sick of the instability

the reason we have such a nutty iran is us, anyways, all that 'axis of evil' stupidity just totally derailed the moderates there . . .

obama's problem is he hasn't figured out how to - or doesn't want to - return to the pre-bush era

or, barring that, can't seem to be able to transcend the bush policies, to actually move forward

in diplomacy, in economics, anywhere . . .

i can't believe they are blaming the guy who released it as being the problem... the problem is that this conduct took place... They are so corrupt they think it's ok to feel like "nobody can find out about this" after saying or doing something.

If they were on the up and up... it wouldn't be much of a problem when this sort of stuff came out. This just shows who the real crooks are and they don't like that.

First read about this at http://supaswap-news.com/ I guess its the price you pay (some would say) for living in a democracy. On the other hand the fact this info is out paints a pretty sad picture of the back stabbing world we live in.......Beam me up scotty!!!

I really think Assange might be Jesus. I think if He came back to save the world he would probably do something like this.

Yep, those corporate mass-media journalists sure do love Assange - after all he's practially doing their job for them! Well, probably not really their actual jobs, but what journalists SHOULD be doing. Like you know, reporting the truth?

    UPDATE: Interview with Julian Assange!

Great interview where Julian states he's going to release a lot of stuff about private corporations including at least one US bank. He discusses how he decides what to release. Evidently there is so much coming into Wikileaks they've had to shutdown their submission system. He says the amount of submissions has increased exponentially but their ability to review and release has only increased linearly so they must prioritize their releases according to importance and impact they have.

He says 50% of the material they have is about the private sector, but he feels the revelations about war are a bigger priority right now.

Privacy is an illusion. The more you share your opinion, the more well-known you are, the truer this is.

UPDATE: Ecuador offers Julian Assange Asylum

Ecuador has offered asylum and residency to Julian Assange. Assange is being targeted by the US and its allies like Sweden based on trumped up charges and is likely to be arrested and imprisoned if he shows his face in certain countries.

Ecuador recently kicked the US and CIA out of their country and closed down the only remaining US anti-narcotics base in South America. Ecuador has said it would again allow a US base in their country when the US gives them a base in Florida!
