I never once said he was guilty of anything.

I don't know what kinda people are on Sweden's most wanted list; but I do agree that his prosecution is connected with his politics - no matter the legitimacy of the women's claims. Though how much is hard to say.

Have either of them said anything about what made them push their lawyer to re-open the case?

I know perfectly well what an insinuation is, but I never even insinuated that he is guilty; just that it's possible. Nor did I ever say anything to insinuate that if you support him, you support any crimes he may have committed. I only asked you if his position made him immune.

 

I wonder if this will go anywhere or if it will die a quiet death....

i wish i could hack... however, don't know if peeps have heard or not, but one of JAs (how very apt as far as i am concerned) accusers have withdrawn her support to his prosecutors... hope the other follows suit, and the trump they thought they had, falls as it should...

 

This is an old tactic our government and many others have used for decades. It was used in the 50's during the Red Scare and up and down thru history.

I'm not necessarily saying this to you personally, but at the end of the day what does our investments mean? Seriously, honestly think about it. We all live in a world in which we're lied to, fucked over by, imprisoned by, assaulted by, enslaved by a government(s) that wants to use us all as worker bees, make money off our backs, and discard the ones who are of no real use.

The last fucking thing I'd be worried about is investments. Really life isn't money. Life is about people and freedom and happiness. Fuck money, fuck the banks, fuck 401k's and fuck investments. Those are nothing but hollow pusuits that don't mean jack shit at the end of the day. Seriously, fuck money. It's the single thing to blame for all the world's economic problems.

Money gives them power. If you want to invest in yours and my demise, that's your business, but don't expect people to care about your investments.

But - as I noted elsewhere [possibly not this thread] - Britain also arrested General Pinochet for human rights violations, on an IAW issued by a Spanish judge... then let him walk.

Its going to be very interesting to see if our government sees Assange as more of a threat to society than a right wing dictator with blood on his hands...

One could argue that parts of the herd have gotten the message multiple times.
Hippies, (80s) punks, grunge. The heavy socialism/charity of the turn of the century (granted it was in proportion with the greed of the tycoons and the industrial movement)
I see no reason why it could not get popular on a larger scale. I see the problem as more of a how, than an if.

With the low popularity of these events in American mainstream, that's a damn big how though.

 

That's a really good point man. I haven't heard one single breath of this news mentioned on one single news channel since Assange was arrested. Just goes to show you the real agenda of the mainstream media. Look elsewhere for your news.

 

The herd, has not gotten the message...

The examples that have been suggested to show they have, are cases of a few individuals getting the message and a bunch of people following them. As soon as the Individuals that did get the message, disappear from the scene, the followers wander off to find a new leader...

Don't believe me? Look at the treads about this and see people's responses...

People have belittled Julian and what he has done, compared what he did to driving down a road, called him a terrorist, called him a traitor, a spy, a rapist and so on and so forth...

The majority of people, (not just in the US), wont even look up, forget about standing up.
