no Oh-meg-a ......like you know, it's a biblical term. "The alpha and omega" here man...listen, who better to explain it then the man in black. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhtcaRRngcw He says it at the end of the first chorus
I know that its pronounced Oh-mega-a. im just sayin its been pronounced as omeega before. omega and the mechanical animals.
It was Marilyn Mansons fictitious band. He wrote 3 albums that were all a part of a story line and in one hes omega, an alien who symbolizes jesus/satan(whichever one you choose) being cast down to earth from heaven and how horrible life was here on earth(more specifically, hollywood) compared to heaven. Ahh the good days, when manson was an intelligent writer. Now hes a washed up, druggy, piece of shit writer. Too bad.
Ive heard it pronounced "omeega", "OHmega", "o-meg-a" and "omayga" aswell as a few other variations. Dont think it matters.
I like the name Marley for a girl. My sister has a set name for when she has a little girl, Lila. I wish I had thought of it first. lol
We named our son Ryusei. Ryu means "dragon" in Japanese, and his name basically means to live strongly like a dragon.
i always thought it would be rad to name a boy Psymon instead of Simon. i love the names Gypsy, Mae, Fox, and Rose, for a girl And it was mentioned before but Killian would be really cool for a boy.
Like the purple haired, one eyed, spaceship captain from Futurama? It's spelled without the "h" but I imagine the pronunciation is identical. I've been talking to this girl Nerissia for a little while now. I think it's a pretty name. hah ... I'm watching Comedy Central and Futurama just came on.
I think that's a bit mean, especially if he goes on to develop social anxiety issues! Not that the name itself would cause that...although he may get the jokes
I never got jokes over my name. None of my normal named friends got jokes about their names either... "Shy" is a word in the English dictionary that suggests something about a persons personality. As opposed to Steve
yeah and im sure the name "steve" suggests that your parents were very uncreative. im sure a proper upbringing would instill confidence in himself and not allow a name to determine his fate you have to have confidence to really own a unique name
My daughters name is Nyla. If I have another girl I like the names Rose, Amara, or Inara. Boys I like Jude, and Sol.
Of course people get made fun of for their names... I did and I have a pretty boring name. You can trust that when I named my kids that both my sister's and I ripped them apart thoroughly before I went ahead with them. We made sure that the initials didn't spell anything bad. In fact, I have a name that with my middle name creates an entire sentence and I'm much to embarrassed that my dumbass mother would not have realized what she was doing. In fact, I have often said that I'm going to change my name to the same as my kids and bf just so I don't have to keep this name... Let me give another example... who wants a name with the intials STD? Or a name that spells PMT or PMS? I chose Owen for my oldest. Owen was one of the names we liked (Elliott was the other major contender) but when he was born, he looked like Owen and our nurses last name was Owens so that made our decision. I should also mention that his initials spell OSM (which I say like "awesome"). lol For my second I chose Lorne. Named after my grandfather. I feel it a strong male name, but there are so many girls named Lauren now that he's constantly being referred to as a girl. But I still love the name and would not change it. Plus, his first name is actually Christopher so he can choose to use that later if he likes.
