oh, have i got a story for you inabiap.
i was at a restaurant, in london, about 25 years ago. there was another american a few tables away from me. he was drunk and, he went on a rant about, how, "if it had not been for us yanks pulling your lazy tea drinking limey asses, out of the fire during both world war, were would you be today?"
the brits are a people that, are kind to a fault! they just let him rant himself out.
i, as an american, felt so goddamn ashamed for that idiots behavior that, i wanted to slide under the table and, find a hole, bury myself and die!
i did however, go over and apologize to those people for that jackasses behavior.
they were gratuitous to me and, understanding of my "fellow" american being a drunken fool and, not representative of us yankees as a whole.

it is assholes like that guy and, the bully actions of our government, that give us yanks our bad name around the world.

 

LOL. The Americans who say that have never had their empire attacked like the British were being attacked at that time (I think.) Those Americans should experience their empire being attacked worldwide before they mock anyone elses weakness.

Not that I embrace colonialism...the English are just GREAT to me. GREAT Britian is right I think:blush5:...
