i'm not attracted to "fit blondes." shouldn't i have something nice to look at, too? as for "ugly people," well, there's been a few serious crushes in my life that were anything but movie star good-looking. people's genes carry on because there's more to the human package than looks. there's genius, there's true, soul-deep gorgeousness. i've always had good looks, but i was searching for someone brilliant, even if their outer looks weren't "perfect."

 

ugly people were invented because unintelligent people needed something to laugh at, obviously

hell, i dunno, every culture on the planet seems to have different ideas about wot is ugly, and wot isn't......and those ideas seem to change with fashions in a lot of those cultures anyway......

 

like everyone said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. let's say everyone in the world suddenly became drop dead gorgeous. for the first few months, things would be absolutley wonderful. until you became use to EVERYONE being beautiful. then, you would start to notice things "wrong" with some people. until they were no longer beautiful to you. everyone being beautiful would become normal, and you would start to classify the beautiful people into categories of ugly, fair, or beautiful.

Argue on 'QUALITY'

Thats a good one. Occam will participate in an arguement on quality.
For quality IS something other than desire or subjective appreciation.

ugly people either don't love themselves, or aren't really ugly. if they do love themselves (as in, love the person they are, not just feel the need to blow up their own ego balloon by forcing air out of other people's lungs) and you think they're "ugly", you probably don't love yourself. i don't believe in ugliness. i love you, even if you don't.

have you ever looked at a child with a serious disease, who doctors thought wouldn't live to be a year old, and is now able to speak and walk? have you ever looked at them, and realized they aren't like other people, but they are the most absolutely beautiful and perfect thing you have ever seen in your entire life?

the fact that a person is even alive is a miracle. every single human is gorgeous, they are absolutely incredible and a wonder to see. the bump on their nose, or big ears, or whatever "flaw" you can imagine is another wonderful little reason to love them.

 

God loves ugly! Trust Atmosphere!
