That's going a little overboard. I'm 57 years old and have had a helluva lot of quite intimate relationships with people, including the one in question at one point in time at least. Tell me this: What do you consider "fixed?" Does everybody need to measure up to your definition of "fixed" before you allow them the privilege of being in a human relationship? And while we're on the subject, who made you the judge?

This I will grant you - it's nobody's problem but mine. But the problem is a helluva lot more complicated than what you've stated here. This "chat" thread is really not the best place to go into it all...

 

That ridiculous Tom. Not everything that's real has tangible/physical attributes. Thoughts are real. They can't punch anyone in the head.

What I was saying is that the things psychotics hear and see are just as real as say seeing a shadow, seeing an image from a projector or a movie on a screen, hearing a telephone ring. All those things can't punch someone in the head, and yet they're real. We can see and experience them. Blind people can't see things. Some people who aren't blind can't see some things. Deaf people can't hear things. People who aren't deaf can't hear dog whistles. You know what I'm saying?

That's true. So how do you know Zen isn't being genuine?

It's a funny thing...right after I read your last sentence there and started thinking about cutting her telepathic connection to me, she said in my mind, "I think I'll start letting you win me back..." See how she is - just call me Deanna's yoyo.

I don't think she's just fucking with me, though I know I come across that way a lot - sometimes just to be humorous. But yeah, it really gets to me a lot of the time. The thing is, in my better moments I believe she really does act as a spirit guide - and in her emails she has shown that she regards herself that way too - and what she's doing is making me stronger and more resilient, as well as showing me a helluva lot of things about myself and how to deal with shit that would have crushed me when I was younger.

But I still reserve the right to bitch about it sometimes... I'm really not looking for anybody to fix anything, I just need to vent once in a while.

Not aggressively... Zen thinks its okay that he lets his mind fuck his life up (and refuses to acknowledge it even though he immediately posts examples lol) And I think he fell off his fucking rocker...

Doesn't mean I don't think he should be posting about it... lol It's interesting watching a mind eat itself.

I wouldn't think a spirit guide would treat you so shitty. I've always read about the symbolic ones, mostly in Native American culture where they're an animal or an old man who says like 5 words and you have to figure out what he means.

Sounds like she's afraid that you'll cut her loose. What is she getting out of your relationship? Why not threaten to cut her loose, then she how she acts. You might find that you having power over her is a lot better than being treated like a yoyo.

 

Oh btw Tom...I seem to recall somebody in this thread fucking himself up a bit over some well pump problems not too long ago...just sayin...

 

I've done both at various time. Sometimes I get myself out of my rut. Other times somebody slaps me around a bit until I cheer up. Actually rollingalong's post yesterday where he called me a "pusswad" had me laughing the rest of the day.

 

I tend to be that way from time to time. Of course the slap is usually metaphorical for 'have someone listen then tell me I'm worrying unnecessarily'.

Sometimes I talk myself out of it. But a good slap can do wonders

 

She does the five words thing too sometimes. I've told her a few times, "If you have a point to make, why don't you just say it?" She's kinda like an all-in-one spiritual force. Teaching, puzzling, and challenging, all in one compact, petite package.

Yeah well...I don't take her seriously. She's not afraid of anything - she's shown me that lots of times. It's just part of the mind games she plays - continual dramas. I've tried to cut her loose - can't do it. The more I try to ignore her, the more she forces her telepathic presence into my consciousness. She's trying to get me to let go and have peace about everything. The problem is that I resist a lot of the time - and sometimes I fight like hell until I'm exhausted and give up for a while.

Random Question...Does all guys have relationships with girls they work with?

 

Speaking only for me-No. (other than a general working relationship)
But sadly I see it everyday. It's sad because most of the time I have met the SO who is being cheated on.

If both parties are single then I guess it's all good.

 

What do you mean by "relationships?" I have "relationships" with a lot of women at work - but only a few are what I would call friendships - and only one has had any elements of romance. So far, at least.

 

I've been thinking about your question, countrygirl...I wouldn't have looked for a "relationship" at work if my marriage had been good to start with. And now looking back, I think: Thank God I have this relationship now, even if it's only mostly in my head. Cuz otherwise I would be stuck in this marriage now with MUCH less comfort and hope than what I have.
