Turn On's And Turn Off's

Seeinblonde, you know what you need to do? Move to the South. When I lived in Memphis I met a lot of women just like that. Most were really loyal to their men if they had them (so they told me, as a pal), most loved animals and children, loved to cook for thier man, and most were pretty much a caring individual on the whole. I can't stand a "good" girl, though, to the standards of a good girl, so that never worked out.

Mystical, I think I'm your man. lol I smile constantly, since the day I'd met my need in life, (something I never thought I'd do) I've been a constant smile, I am very honest (although sometimes too honest), I have a passion for music, which was the aforementioned need in life so there's my major passion, and it's not too weird. lol I am very sarcastic, but really, I don't know too many who aren't. I am a little teddy bear, I guess that counts. lol I'm totally a kid, but that also means that I'm obsessed with cartoons and generally put off obligations until the day it's to be done. My biggest problem is, I jump the gun on people at times. But, you have to flip out every once in a great while to be a really good guy the rest of the time, I'm convinced of it.

I ditto the whole thing about a bad attitude, but that's pretty much everyone's turn off. I really can't stand stupidity, or someone who isn't atleast somewhat cultured, and by that I don't even mean Eastern or Western Europe, just someone who understands vaguely the ways and customs of the 'foreign' people in our country. Someone who doesn't ask an Indian man to make her an egg roll. lol That's really terrible.

Turn-ons:
Intelligence and a good amount of it
Similar interests in movies and music. I'm not picky really, but if the girl asks "Who're the Rolling Stones? And what are the... Cars?", it's over, barnone. lol And if she has to ask who Stanley Kubrick is, maybe I'll cut her some slack, ... maybe.

A girl who plays an instrument. (with the exception of wind instruments, ... obnoxious)
Extreme technical prowess on that instrument. If she can play me some Chopin on the piano, Paganini on the violin, or some Allman Brothers slide on the geetar, I'm hers.
Depth. Okay, so she can shop at the GAP for all I care, but she better be doing it for the right motives. She has to understand philosophy, and not be bored out of her witts when I want to talk about that whole psuedo-philo., why do you think we're all here? We're all simply specs of dust, there's gotta be a monolith grand spectator, type of thing.
Kindness. Well, who doesn't want a kind woman? It'd be nice if she was able to beat me up, though, and was willing to do so whenever I get out of line. lol
Gamer Nerd. If you get incredibly bored or annoyed when your guy obsesses over a new computer or console game for a week before it's release, you'll hate me. lol I once had a girl who could school me in graphics design and just games on the over-all, which was pretty cool.
Likes to use lame-o slang. "That's intense." "Fuckin' wicked, bro!" "Rad, man, rad!"
Likes Industrial Films. And hates the same ones I hate.
Rocks harder at a show than I do. And flips when I get Cheap Trick or Kansas tickets. hehe

Turn-offs
Pseudo-intellectuals. If you're trying to be up to par with me, just be up to par with me or do your best, don't fake it and make yourself look like a moron in the process. You want to know what a psuedo-intellectual is? Think "Maude Lebowski" from the Big Lebowski. haha, if any of you have seen that.
Fans of music that I can't stand. Okay, so I don't hate them, but I can't date someone who listens to hip-hop, world music or trance. You can't put those C.D.s in my car. It will eat them.
People who don't respect my musical tastes. Okay, so I see the irony, or what appears to be irony, but I respect opinions, and if you think progressive or neoclassical rock is for dorks and you say so, you should be beaten with a music theory text-book! And then slapped, and then...yeah. Rush and Asia rule, it's you who sucks! lol
Bible beaters. God doesn't exist for me, and every time they tell me they'll pray for me, they're being incredibly condescending. I respect the views of them, but there again, total turn-off, undateable.
Prima donnas with an incredible sense of entitlement. Okay, so I know you're beautiful, and you'll find an idiot to date you even though you're vile and intellectually void. Don't act as though that means anything to me when you approach me, think I'm at all interested or believe that it entitles you to the right to be an arrogant, selfish, careless human being.
Being simply stupid. I love you for the fact that you're a human, like me, but please go away! lol
Militant anti-smokers. I don't smoke cigarettes, but you people annoy me anyway. It's not your business, and second-hand smoke is an annoyance at best.
Militant anti-druggies. Okay, so I smoke bud and I do Psilocybin and other psychodelics at times. Don't wear your sober life-style like a badge is all I ask from you. I guarantee these habits don't make me stupid, I'm the same person I was 6 years ago, and if you condescend to me and argue with me about Marijuana's effects neurologically and/or legislation, I'll dwarf you, just to spite you. I dig that you're not into drugs, and if you're okay with my use of them, we're good pals!

That's about it for me. I'm sure I sound arrogant on that last one, but man, I can't stand people who wear sobriety like a badge of honor, and condescend to us "laymen". We could never be on that level of moralist servitude and honor!

 

Musicman, I do live in the South. And I definitely know what you mean, but I also don't like women that are too domestic.
