Strange thing to say. Whoever called it a hoax?

Create the possibility to get the people elected you really want. The voting system and two party system are obstructing you from that. It only works in favor of people who want to keep the status quo. Reeks of corruption.

  5. Everyone I know in healthcare is scared of this thing getting a second chance. One tells me the sound of a Covid-19 cough is very distinctive. In Georgia they want to open theaters and bowling alleys. So I'd suggest Stacy stay right where she is because she'll be the next governor!

Plenty of american citizens called it a hoax too. Not sure how many are Trump supporters but a significant amount are. So yeah, not that strange of an assertion. VG made stranger ones himself....

Yups, same here. They're practically begging people to stay home. Some IC nurse didn't dare to go to work with the train because it was too full of people going on recreational trips, and she can hardly be missed if infected.... I guess they still don't get the purpose. Happily most gubberment info here is solid though!

"While the survey showed that a vast majority of Americans support stay-at-home orders, it also indicated that Republicans are becoming more supportive of the push to reopen businesses.

Forty-five percent of GOP respondents said they wanted states to nullify social-distancing restrictions to allow the economy to reopen, a 21-point jump from a similar survey conducted at the end of March"

Poll: More than 70 percent of Americans support coronavirus stay-at-home orders

So that's doubled in 2 to 3 weeks

I'll agree with that. No independent oversight = the big dogs eat to the exclusion of who REALLLY needs the help. Corporate welfare of a sort.

WHO declared it a Pandemic 11 th March, first US lockdown was California 19 March

    So, a whole 8 days

Which is what pretty much what everyone else did at the time

And well, your boy, like mine never did the full lockdown thing anyway, so what are you on about? (It's called denial)

Covid Deaths per million people currently:
    USA 148
    The Netherlands 244

Empathy is the ability to place yourself in another's position.
This is exactly what happens. I want my freedom, screw everyone else.
They lack the capability to understand that their "freedom" may mean someone else's death or illness.

Not really, after it became apparent what was happening in Italy a lot of western countries responded seriously. US and UK were two of the latest to do so.
Can you please state what I'm in denial about exactly. I'm sure it will be some kind of projection.
I was always ok with a partial lockdown. It works here.

You must explain your exact argument, not simply state these numbers repeatedly.
We've already been over some of the reasons why the percentage is relatively high here. Without a partial lockdown and the safety measures numbers would be even higher.
