We are in the interesting part now where everyone has to keep reinforcing their own stupidity, jump up and down on one leg and whistle Dixie to help stop the spread of Coronavirus

Why wouldn't he halt immigration? What do you want more people entering the country, bringing more bat virus cases with them?

 

God forbid some of you might have to get off your ass and do some manual labour for a while


And 1/4 of your doctors are immigrants? If that's true, that's part of the problem and should change....what you can't give 100 thousand of your own citizens the chance to be doctors. Sounds like that's one industry where clearly immigrants are taking away opportunities for citizens

 

Well, it's really costly to attend medical school in the US. So it isn't that they're taking away opportunities, its that we don't have enough US born doctors to meet demand because who the hell wants to saddle themselves with hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt to become a doctor?

 

Silly sod !!! - It takes a minimum of ten years to train a doctor. If you ban immigrant Doctors who will replace them ??? - Some red neck ignoramus who can't talk and walk at the same time ??? - a typical knuckle-dragging antipodean gorilla answer !!!

But he doesn't want to take a stand directly, and the responsibility that would entail. So he snipes and stirs up mobs to do his dirty work.

 

I kind of feel like he's stalling. He doesn't want to commit to anything because he doesn't really have any good options. People will condemn him for either action; opening or remaining closed.

and with that, I hear Instacart is hiring. The only problem being you'd need a car. But other than that, it's pretty easy money; though you'd be a bajillion times more likely to catch coronavirus. There may be hazard pay though.

well they make that money back pretty quickly, and then live in mansions with their hot wives for the next 50 years. it's just that being a doctor is kind of gross. plus, it's one of those careers that you pretty much have to commit to right out of high school, and american high schools do nothing to prepare their students to choose a career.

 

Trump just issued a statement saying his new ban on Emigrants is going to last for 60 days and he would be targeting people who want Green Cards, all based on Coronavirus mind you. That started me to think. You see, I remember when he first became president, his son I law's business representative went to China and was caught selling green cards to rich Chinese people who wanted a second citizenship right here in the U S of A. Why is it that Trump's supporter strive to keep poor Mexicans and Guatemalans out and allow the Chinese to get green cards, when we all know Coronavirus originated in China? Do Trump's Republicans like money that much?

 

How about we have a national health system and test people into subsidized med school training. When the doctors graduate, they serve a national system where everybody is covered. Doctor’s salaries are capped at some lucrative but not exorbitant level. Last time I checked, doctors salaries in the US accounted for twice the percent of GDP that they do in Canada, eh. There are a lot of issues with American health care. Resources disproportionately flow to the wealthy. Next you discover an odd Looking mole on your neck, get ready to wait in line for a dermatologist....behind rich ladies scheduled for face lifts, lip plumps, and breast augmentation. Been there and my odd looking mole turned to be skin cancer, but not melanoma thank god. And my GP lost the biopsy.
