I live in conservative territory. Everyone I know is a Trump supporter. And they're becoming more fixed in their thinking. It is scary when you have to deal with comments about niggers and Jews and faggots and everything else, especially when you're like a fish out of water. These people have all the power and all of the connections and you don't have any.
Yeah His supporters are scarier than he is. Some of them act completely brainwashed, like they're legit in a cult
That was reported initially by Axios, not CNN dawg As for the story lode posted about moving $155 million from Fema .....that is a matter of public record and easily verifiable. Ridiculous to yell fake news about something that can easily be verified from multiple sources lol I have my gripes about CNN but as far as outright lying? they are bound both by their own journalistic standards (they have, for example, retracted a story for not being verified by more than one source. Their standard is at least 2 sources) as well as libel and slander laws If they were straight lying about Trump as often as he claims they are, he could have sued them a thousand times over for libel and yet...he hasn't. That's pretty telling. Why hasnt he sued?
Oh, I see how the game is played now. You ask first for the top three of the most ridiculous direct quotes. After providing many more of those, you now ask us to come up with "scary fascist/like Goebbels or Hitler ones." Of course, short of ordering immigrants into gas ovens, that would be a judgment call, and you apparently are placing a heavy and movable burden of proof on us. From the safe distance of Australia you're not going to be as scared of Trump as people living here. Politicians in your country may talk like this, but in the States, we haven't been used to hearing it before from Presidents and presidential candidates--except for the late segregationist George Wallace. Apparently, leading his audiences at rallies in "lock er up" chants, calling CNN and other liberal media "enemies of the people", telling non-white congresswomen (two born here) to go back to where they came from, attacking them again at his August 20 rally in North Carolina, at which his audience took up the "Send 'em back chants that at a North Carolina, asking at a Panama City Beach Fla. rally what to do about illegal immigrants and smiling as a spectator says "shoot them"--you don't find any of this disturbing enough? Calling for one's political opponent to be imprisoned,as he did for Hillary and led chants to that effect by supporters at his rallies scares me. Obviously, in a western democracy like the U.S., it would be political suicide for a presidential candidate to go full Adolph, but coupled with disturbing accounts of how immigrants and asylum seekers are being treated by ICE, this should be enough to raise concerns. Now immigrants in the custody of ICE are to be denied flu shots. If that doesn't disturb you, you may be like the good Germans who were unpreturbed by the concentration camps so long as their bellies were full and the Fuehrer was winning wars. Here are some more of his statements that disturb me: Donald J. Trump, verified twitter account 1:23 PM - 6 Aug 2012 "An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that @Barack Obama's birth certificate is a fraud." "You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p**sy. You can do anything." in a 2005 interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush Seen on TV by me and countless others "If she gets to pick her judges—nothing you can do, folks. Although, the Second Amendment people. Maybe there is. I don’t know." Trump ,about Hillary,at a Wilmington, North Carolina, campaign rally (Aug. 9, 2016) (What do you think he had in mind?) “When when they (Iran) circle our beautiful destroyers with their little boats, and they make gestures at our people that they shouldn’t be allowed to make, they will be shot out of the water." Threatening war over rude hand gestures, Pensacola Fla. (Sept . 2016) "Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press." Press conference, Doral, Fla, July 27, 2016 “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?" Acknowledged by Trump in tweet of Jan 12, 2018. Saying he'd love it if the NFL said to black players taking the knee, “Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired!” Sept 22, 2017. And all those things he says he knows more about than anybody else. Everything Trump says he knows "more about than anybody" Then there are his actions in claiming emergency powers give him the authority to override Congress's spending priorities and most recently to order U.S. businesses not to deal with China. And of course his rollback of environmental regulations. You can paddle up that long river in Africa (De Nile, get it) all you want, but sooner or later us Americans will pay a heavy price for Trump. At least we should. Your resistance to anything negative about Trump is bordering on the cult-like.
*shakes VG* VG ARE YOU CRAZY!! THE MAN HAS NO EMOTIONS. HE IS AN EMOTIONLESS ROBOT WHO CAN'T FEEL A SINGLE HUMAN EMOTION! LOOK AT OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM! LOOK AT THE CHILDREN IN THE CONCENTRATION CAMPS. WE LIVE UNDER A GOVERNMENT THAT CAN KILL US WHENEVER IT WANTS. That is the power of the US Government. You don't want to mess with the wrong people. How the President of the United States behaves must be as a beacon of light to the people. I just think there are celebrities who are like, "It's us and them." We shouldn't just be this giant machine that kills, and that is what we are becoming. In a business sense, it's a terrible move, because if you discard all the people, where are you then? Which makes it wonderful when friendships can form between the classes. When I say the government can kill us whenever it wants, I mean, get real if you think they can't! I'm just being humorous.
Because he cant, and Trump himself has been on about this. You have looser rules for government officials. Request for a correction issued and enacted before a suit. They cant sue for punitive damage anyway. And the Speech act which means any foreign libel case cant be inforced in US courts - stopping people trying to take US entities to court outside the US where there is less burden of proof. Not saying you should change those laws. But its why since 2010 you've had the US media go a little nuttier and you dont get these crazier stories repeated in the foreign media. Trump, whilst a government official would have to prove malicious intent as well as libel, request for a correction before filing a suit, and cant get awarded punitive damages so any suits would cost him The unamed, annonymous source is one of those easy work arounds
Ok, lets go through those points - any to do with Obama or Hillary, whatevas - any to do with somehow not controlling his nuttier supporters well.... - the only one there to give me pause is the Iranians flipping the bird one. But Trumps actions seem to differ from his words, he pulled out of Syria, hasnt actually done any airstrikes on other countries yet, unlike the previous....well you'd have to go back to Ford wouldnt you, the last Pres, Dem or Rep not to bomb anyone And the NFL one, think a lot of people agreed with that
Why don't we love the President?! He's great! He's so charming, a real entertainer. I don't know if he's ever really crossed the line. Maybe he's brilliant at never crossing the line. But certainly not until the line between freedom and slavery becomes an inhuman nightmare where the boot of technology kicks us where our balls used to be. He wants us to be happy; I feel that. Sometimes it seems like the Democrats are the party of you are the one who has the problem instead of seeing the good in people for the good of all. You don't comprehend the power the President wields unless you are aware of the fact that he has his finger on the button. You are subject to his whim. He is as a God, and it must be incredibly uncomfortable for him. But I'll betcha he doesn't blow us up and quip, "You're fired."
Money doesn't control everything, either. It couldn't control me from saying that, and that is definitely something. It's not nothing! Nobody paid me to say it! No one took any money away from me for saying it! So, I'm just saying, in a literal sense, money doesn't control literally everything. There are things that are more important than money, as any good nurse can tell you. Imagine Donald Trump on the operating table. He is trusting and at ease. He is at home among people who care and feel compassionate for one another, I think, in a charming way.
You may know what you're trying to say, but I'm afraid I'm used to complete sentences instead of fragments. Is this just an effort to cover up an inability to come to grips with the points raised? It's pointless to try to argue with somebody who's obviously determined not to be convinced, but maybe somebody else with a more open mind can benefit. Another scary quote to add to the list: his threat to take Iraqi oil. Trump's plan to seize Iraq's oil: 'It's not stealing, we're reimbursing ourselves' Trump said 'take the oil.' Can he?
