i guess that kind of depends on how you define wasting. i only ever throw out anything edible if it really is no longer edible. rotted to the point it would be deadly poison to consume, no matter what you tried to do to detoxify it. which is why i can't really buy enough ahead until i get a new refrigerator. so, other then going to my waste, i guess i'd have to say false.
