I heard it while tripping at the apartment of Suzy Creamcheese. I also remember a few other good albums I heard there: The original BS&T "Child Is Father to the Man" (when Al Kooper formed the band), Bloomfield's group Electric Flag, Charlie Musselwhite's Southside Band: "Stand Back!," The Velvet Underground's "White Light/White Heat," Ten Wheel Drive with Genya Ravan (featuring "Eye of the Needle"), and Earth Opera's "The Great American Eagle Tragedy."

Is that the one that has "La-la-la-lala-lalala Lala-la-la" twice, followed by a few bass notes and a harp solo? Good choice.

    Peace,

been workin alot but i have the energy to come on and see you all! how you all doing? here are 2 of some of my favorate songs.

    sounf od silence-Simon and garfunkel-

    Hello darkness, my old friend,
I’ve come to talk with you again,
    Because a vision softly creeping,
Left it’s seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of silence.

In restless dreams I walked alone
    Narrow streets of cobblestone,
’neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of
    A neon light
    That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
    Ten thousand people, maybe more.
    People talking without speaking,
    People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
    And no one deared
    Disturb the sound of silence.

Fools said i,you do not know
    Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
    And echoed
    In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made.
And the sign flashed out it’s warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the signs said, the words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
    And tenement halls.
And whisper’d in the sounds of silence

    -and-

    of course

Elvis Presely and his song -If I Can Dream-

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can’t my dream come true

There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
    All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won’t that sun appear

    We’re lost in a cloud
    With too much rain
    We’re trapped in a world
    That’s troubled with pain
But as long as a man
    Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly

Deep in my heart there’s a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there’s a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
    Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
    Oh yeah

    Peace,

HMM sounds like you want something but dont want to achieve to reach that goal. i get called rude and downright negitive things but i am not going to change just becuase some ankle bitters want me to get on my knees and make other people fall on there legs. do not ask others to do what you are not willing to do yourself! i know it isnt easy. but dont let that extra work stop you. you should break through those walls. thats the problem with alot of people nowadays. cant break down those simple walls and try to look over while still behind that wall wondering what is going on. you will never be truely happy until you WANT to go the extra mile to change the world and not just to impress people! please take it positive and put a little smile on your groovy face :)

Country Joe's "Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag" Definately an anthem of the generation.
I would like to add "Kick Out the Jams" by the MC5 to the list. Saw them just a few months ago and they still rock!
