I know that feeling, that's good. When I say too intense I mean unpleasantly intense. Only had that one time so far, and it were some really space tunes. One of them was Alan Daveys Quirk, which I normally love, but this time it just made me feel too weird, not relaxed at all. Hey, you also should try Orange Sunshine - Ruler of the universe on shrooms. It has some really weird sounds at some point, which your mind can grab sober but not on a good trip! Well, that song fucked me up last time as well haha. Some music isn't really suitable for me while tripping, even if I love it normally. Like heavy stoner and black metal. And I can understand music like Velvet Acid Christ is rather unpleasant in altered states as well
I don't trip to black metal either. I always try to keep the mood positive and choose music to go along with that. Bad trips are no fun, no sir, not at all so I'll do anything to avoid 'em. Though I once listened to Lunar Aurora when I was on Hawaiian baby woodrose. But it was and still is my favourite album so I decided it would be alright. And it was! I'll try that song! Weren't they Dutch?
No, they weren't. They still are :tongue: Saw them live quite a few times, they will rock your soul! Songs like Ruler of the universe are more for tokin sessions though, hope you dig the weird sounds, it needs a turned up volume for sure. Speaking of Baby woodrose, that's also a band and guess what: they're playing on Roadburn 2008! Hawaiians are generally pretty strong though, I only tripped harder on some that were supposed to be Ecuadorian. Next time I settle with mexican mushrooms again. Positive or at least not very negative music while shrooming is important for us as well.
