Yeah. I think being sewn in the belly of a dead donkey and left in the sun is just about the most awful way to perish I can imagine.

  2. 1. the japanese used to test katanas by cutting criminals into tiny cubes, there are books on technique to keep the person alive into as many cuts as possible, if the sword was dull before 3 people, it was trash, seven was the record

    2. the spanish inquisition, How fun :) That boning knife you use for chicken, they invented that to de-bone peoples hands, while they were comncious and alive

    3. the pendulum, it gradually swings closer to you drawn by it's own weight, slowly cutting through whatever part of you is under it

4 Iron maiden, Need I say more

    5. Giles corey the last person killed from the salem witch trials was killed by means of a weighted wagon wheel being drawn over his body from feet up, it broke literally every bone in his body as the salem townsfolk watched.

    Hope I contributed :)

  3. Oh wait, forgot keel hauling, a rope would be tied around torturee and they would be pulled under the ship and up to the other side, people rarely surved this treatment, between the suffocation and the bumping across the surface of a moving ship at a quick rate (or maybe not so quick if they wanted you to drown) you would get the sh*t beat out of you

Let's not forget about the barnacles, they would rip the victim's skin off in chunks and strips.

  5. I was looking for that word, I kept coming up with nodules, got another one, American talk shows

You can't tell me that isn't some form of torture

The water torture, i belive is more of a sensory deprevation. they'd leve you there in the dark, and eventually you loose all senses. the drop would feel like thurnder pounding on your skull, and with no sense of time and space, the time for the next drop may seem like minutes or hours. the antici.....pation of the next drop would make you go insane, and you'd think you were there for day, wehn really it was only a few hours.
