yes, because porn has been around since the dawn of time, and womens bodies were only seen sexually since the porn industry started...

 

I see my neighbors topless all the time. Riding their silly ridig lawnmowers. It's hot! They should be able to get comfortable, for god's sake! There is nothing wrong with that. I don't want to stare at their aged bodies, so I don't! It's not that hard, and it's not offensive!

 

How, exactly, can you persume to know how people were actrated to eachother since the dawn of time? Were you there? If so, I have a few questions I'd love to ask you....
As can easily be seen in historical art, people's sexual atraction changes with society. Don't believe me? Go to any art musium, look at art from differnt times, and notice how the women look. You'll notice the painter's idea of beauty looks very different then the ideas of beauty that our current society holds.

I cannot agree to the fact that women can go topless. Am I illogical? may be, Am I ridiculous or part of a sexist society? may be. but I am a human being and I consider living in peace.

And yes, I would say that you are the reason for my horniness if you go topless. Yes, you are the reason for making me horny and yes he is the reason for making you horny if a sexy guy takes off his shirt in front of you and if you are a girl.

By my logic, this is how I see it:

At the platform of intellectual prowess and physical, mental stamina, emotional stamina, you and I can be the same.

However, when it comes to accepting such realities as the truth , then you and I have to realize that there is only one platform on this earth. To come to such a platform is more important than this and the society needs to keep "sex" at a personal level. In other words, what "sex" you are should be only a minimal factor in every case.

I don't know why they let men take off their shirts if it makes women "horny"- its probably because they are ignorant of the fact that many women are obsessed with men's chest- I don't know.

However, I do know this my friend, will educated, considerate, knowledgable people support you(woman) taking off your top and walking around half naked?-NO. Then, will educated , considerate, knowledgable people support making it illegal for guys to take off their tops and walk around half naked?-Yes, may be.

That is a good step towards equality.

yeh exactly, i find big swollen hairy moles pretty gross, so if someone with one is around then i dont look at it. And also, when im alowed i enjoy grabbing a womans but even over her pants, that doesnt mean the fact that womens butts are all around is an attack on me, that forces me to fight off the urge to grab them, the thought might ocur to me but i have total controll over if i do it or not. So weather its gross or apealing, what goes on in your mind isnt their problem. And i didnt say it was good to be offended (though it can be) i said if it ofended you then it was probably good for you, i bet when black people started using the same seating in resturaunts that whites did that a lot of people were ofended, and since they had to get used to it, that was a good thing, its the same type of conection between ofending and being good.

 

Jedi, you are a reasonable man. You can see that we will not change our views by these points you have brought up, and you know that the case we make does not change your mind, and so there is nothing mroe to do than to agree to disagree. i can respect that. We are all intitled to our own opinions, and we all think we are right. I do hope that we have made some people think, though. I know some of you on both sides have made me take a look at what I believe. I had never really thought about this issue much before, and I'm glad it was brought up.

 

is it not rasonable that our actions and projections influence the manner in which others respond to us... if a wear shorts and bare feet to a job interview at a conservative organisation and dont get the job, do l not have some responsibility for the manner in which l was received. Sure its their problem... which l just made my problem... expecting people to sublimate a rather tepid instinct (observation of possible sexual partners) in order that others may expunge the laws of reciprocity smacks of deliberately vague obfuscation and the employment of murky rationale to keep 'them' confused... confusing the other side thru the use of deliberately murky logic is a tried and true method for shifting and maintaining power... l dont care how others respond to my grungy appearance and two week stuble but l dont expect them to alter their perception because of my choice.

I think that the sexual stigma could be destroyed if they let women go topless. It would become normal, and lesson the oooooh aaaah about them.

Not long ago it society did not allow women to expose there calves, or shoulders....It was seen as sexual.

I am a guy, and I really know how guys get only their way a lot of the time, right or wrong. I personally believe that women should have the right to go topless, just as a guy can , and I also belive that men should have the human decentcy and respect to let them be and keep there perverted opinions to themselves... it is not that hard, just don't look if you feel inclinded to make a big scene about it . Both sides should be there in respect for one another. Women should have the right and make the right usage of it and men should let it be and make the right usage of their right to be topless. I fear that our society has become so perverted that this would be extremely diffiuclt to manage though.

I'll never forget Maury Porvich telling a lady that a woman going topless is the same as a man's behind when it's naked. (I wanted to know what he saw through his glasses.) lol The reason why we can't go topless is because society has made us the inferrior one. When a woman is out after dark, she's asking for it. When a man sees us naked than he can have us. When we wear pretty clothes it's because we want to impress him. We have to take into consideration their feelings and need to tough everything they see and that is why we are being punished.

 

so if i get enough people to make a big deal when they see noses should a law then be passed that everyone has to cover their nose? Or what if, in the same way this discriminates for no reason against women, i make it an arbitrary double standard on one group, white people for example. If a bunch of people decide that white people's noses are a thing to make a fuss about, then should all white people be required by law to wear nose covers?

and i agree with you bellfire, its not fair that women have to work around men's childish perceptions, when so many men are childish (most people for that matter) but the way men's immaturity works is that they see things just like spoiled little boys do, with the 'I want it, so it's mine' state of mind. So if they see an atractive woman they feel like shes trying to tempt them. And they yell comments and expect them to be taken as compliments, but at the same time they put negative names on things they want women to do, what i mean is, if a woman did hear a guy yell "nice ass" and simply took it as a compliment, he would think that she was a "slut" which is considered a bad thing, even though he would claim he wasnt trying to offend her, and also he would assume that since she took it well, that it was an invitation for him to have sex with her. So its not like a compliment at all, if i say "nice bike" and you accept the compliment it doesnt mean i can ride it. But then who knows, if men werent so agressive would women make up for it by making their intentions clear instead of having to hide them? We'll probably never find out. But its a good theory to test on a one on one basis. I dont grab all over my girlfriend or yell something every time i see her boobs if shes not trying to be sexual, and at home shes almost always topless, so there you go.

I go topless at my house all the time. Recently, Erik has felt comfortable enough to have a few of his friends over and not care if i put something on. I run around topless in the woods, too. I like my body and I feel so free and beautiful topless.

 

Its no big deal to see women topless... A woman is beautiful... I think more should go topless....
