I dont however, agree with woman being let into mens tournaments. Men wnt be let into womens tournaments, so why should women be let into mens?

 

I don't agree with that also. Men have their tournaments, women have theirs... but if its something like pool or gymnastics, then both men and women can participate in the same game.. i think.

 

i believe they both have their own tournaments for both of those(i know they do for gymnastics in the olympics).


If some women wnt to compete with men they should just merge the leagues and make a super pot for the winner. I doubt many women would want to do that though. But it is defitinitely sexist to allow annika sorenstam to play in a males golf tournament and not let some men play in the womans.

Anyway, it is very sexist to let her play in men's golf, if there is a separate women's golf. Anyway, men or women, I think when your bodily differences don't count you can have one tourney for everyone.

 

yeah there is, with substantial money pots(i believe many, if not all are equal to mens pots).

The big deal is that there a tourament called the Masters at Augusta National in georgia that is probably the most famous golf tournament. It is a mens only club and women dont have an equivalent(that i know ). So a bunch complained that it wasnt fair.

 

AGAIN, I don't like double standards in any issue. I have no problem with women playing baseball, basketball,golf, tennis,soccer with men.
Girls can take the same school classes now as boys (or at least in my old high school) so girls take wood shop & auto mechanics and boys can take home ec.
EQUAL RIGHTS SHOULD WORK BOTH WAYS!!

Seems like no matter how many times I say it, someone doesn't know what equal means. The same/EQUAL rights for men & women EVERYWHERE. The only place they are different is in the labor room of a hospital. Guess before I started writing in this thread I should have started a poll to see who believes this country has equal rights and then watch people contradict themselves here.

Precisely , but to gain such an understanding we shouldn't degrade ourselves into animals, but become more civilized.

 

Why would we be degrading ourselves if we went topless? Do men degrade themselves when they take off their shirt? Even if society on a whole complained about topless men in 1939, they still won the right to do so.

In my opinion we are not degrading women into animals if they go topless, we will be degrading men. If a woman wants a man to look at her face when he talks and not "there" then she would keep them covered or men should close their eyes.. but men need their eyes to see, so women should cover their breasts. The end.

 

so cover a man's chest/nipples too or are women supposed to close their eyes on the beach or anywhere a man goes topless? sorry I have had this debate with my ex-husband for years and I ain't stopping now.

There are nerves connecting through our entire bodies. True, there can be a sexual response through nipple stimulation, (as well as start labour and/or get labour moving along.) The same response can also be had through stimulation of a certain part of the foot, hand, thumb, just above the knee, on either side of the bum, lower back, inside of foot, a few different parts of the calf, just between the navel and pelvic bone, etc.

Perhaps all of these parts of the body should be considered sexual, they certainly would be when using these methods of categorizing. Should we than demand that all of these parts of a women's body be covered in public at all times (oh, I mean other than extremely descreetly while using them for their other use.)
