hahaha you honestly think its men who are setting the standards?? men like to see breasts, its more about women who think other women shouldnt show their bodies like that. Probably has to do with jealousy.

Yeah, but some other dude's chicks breasts. I know few men who want their chicks letting other men see them. See, you say "men like to see breasts" but WHOSE do they like to see in public? Their wive's or girlfreind's or mother's? No, some other dude's wife or girlfriend or mother. SO in this respect, men are setting the standard.

 

Women should be allowed the freedom to go topless (or topfree) in more instances, particularly at beaches and at certain parks. We Americans need to shed too many of our puritanical hang-ups! Here are some topfreedom support sights well worth checking out:

I use to see my breat as sexual, until I had a child and breast fed her for a year. Now it is not such a tun on to have my husband suck on my breast. Women can show there breast in public, if they are breast feeding. In fact in many states it is aginst the law for someone to ask them to leave or go to another room etc.

 

Boobs are covered because if they weren't, dudes would go crazy and start humpin' chicks left and right. Personally speaking, I couldn't do anything done with a bunch of topless girls around me. And if it was at the beach, I'd be standing in the water the entire time.

 

I ask peopel that all the time. Why the hell is it like that? "Oh, you feed your babies with those, they can't be shown!" I'm like "Hey, kill" lol

Many [most/all?] states have it written in their constitutions that being topless alone is not against the law - only so when the woman is committing lewd acts while topless in public ... it is also protected by law that a woman be allowed to nurse her child anywhere at any time. There are various public legal sites one can browse for such information

 

i wouldnt recommend walking around topless unless you want to get stopped by the police and given a citation..

 

i dont see why its not legal, men can be topless, but you dont see it that often, yould probably see topless women about as often in the same places you see shirtless men. Quite a few on beaches and only ocationaly in their car or on the streets, its not like you see shirtless men in fancy resturaunts, so why would you expect topless women there if its legal? And what the hells wrong with breat feeding, its perfectly natural. Its like saying "i dont need to see people mashing up food with their teeth and salivating in it untill its a fine mash and swallowing it" Most women feed their babys in a practicle way, just like you chew with your mouth closed. Nothing would be lost for me, i find parts of women that are visible all of the time sexy, the neck, the arms, ankles, feet, of cource i can distinguish if its a sexual context or not, does the fact that in a sexual situation the neck is sexy mean that women have to cover their neck up all the time? we'd end up like the muslim branches that make their women cover themselfs from head to toe.

i don't even really like to sit my ass on a public toilet. now i'm supposed to sit in the nasty public bathroom to feed a child.

when i have a child, i fully intend to breastfeed. i will be discrete about it, but for my own sake, not anyone else's. you surely won't see me breastfeeding in the bathroom. gross!

People may be relatively inteligent, but were still natural creaturs, and a woman using her natural ability to feed their baby is a beautiful thing, its not as if they come over and shove it in your face.

 

You are totally right, Pablo. Womyn can be sexy, and have sexy parts of their bodies, that are used for other things besides sex. And that is healthy. It is also healthy that you realize it! I wish there were more people with your sensibility about this issue

 

I say it depends on the situation.... At festivals I have but at a shopping mall? Nope. However, I have absolutely no qualms ANYMORE about nursing how ever we want when ever & where ever regardless of other peoples' issues - I even carry around a copy of my state's constitution to show ignorant people that it is our RIGHT & duty as mothers to nurture our children at all times.

 

out of those 900 societies, only 13 counted breasts as sexual. how much would you like to bet that those 13 were almost all civilized societies. im sure a tiny city in the middle of the forest may not find them sexual but, in other civilized countries such as the US, Europe, Canada, etc they are. theres no way around it, breasts are sexual. im a woman and i even find breasts to be sexual. it doesnt really matter if they are the MAIN sexual organ in the sex act, they are still definetly sexual, way more so that legs, arms, etc.

about breastfeeding-i intent to breastfeed when i have a child but i definetly will do it descreetly. not only so other people wont feel uncomftorable or the need to stare at my breasts, but also because i dont really want strangers looking at them or at my baby while its eating. breasts are fairly private parts and only someone very close to me should see them. (i have a small chest, but even if i didnt i still wouldnt wear low cut or cleavage showing tops)
