My computer chair is wooden and very uncomfortable, and my mouse hurts my wrist. Nothing will ever beat the relaxing experience of laying in bed with a wireless controller and playing a nice console game on an LCD TV.
those are all personal problems get a better mouse, play your games from a beanbag, and you'll be fine.
Absolute Classic I don't know if you can call it a game, but super mario all stars on SNES is definitely a contender for top 10, as well as Ocarina of Time (on N64 and gameboy colour), mario kart 64 and most other final fantasy games. Kirby's dream world on gameboy was pretty good too.
You're all tools. Consoles are generally years ahead of PCs in terms of optimum hardware for gaming. Fantastic games like FFIX, FFX, FFXII, FFXIII, All of the zelda games, goldeneye 64, all marios, most of the best racing games, god of war 1 and 2 etc. never get released on PC, and emulators are usually years too late, fraught with errors and require excessive hardware requirements. PCs fuck up. PC games are often less stylish than console games and so on. Consoles are inflexible, but incredibly practical. Consoles generally become years behind PCs in terms of hardware long before the next model is released. Even though most PC games are released on console, they are generally inferior and have shitty controls. PCs can emulate almost anything (especially portable games). Being able to install and create mods doubles the playability value of a lot of games. Online gaming kicks ass. You can save thousands of dollars by pirating games. PCs are confusing and sometimes impractical, but incredibly flexible. I think people should be more open minded and flexible. There is a lot of value to both types of gaming.
You will need it to play Final Fantasy XIII which is going to be awesome. Don't try to argue with me.
I'd rather wait for a good emulator, since I'm planning on having a comp with the silly specs anyhow.
1. Zelda: Ocarina of Time. 2. Metroid Prime 3. Twilight Princess 4. Metroid prime 2 5. Majora's Mask 6. Windwaker 7. Chip's Challenge 8. Final Fantasy VII 9. Tony Hawk's pro skater 2 10. Pokemon red
There is in fact. it isn't 100% for all the games, but anything that you'd really give a shit about you are probably good on. lemme burrow for a link http://www.pcsx2.net/compat.php?p=1&c=a&s1=1&s2=1&s3=1&s4=1&s5=1 this is their compatibility list.
I guess I was jaded after waiting so many years for them to bring out a functional one that I gave up. I'm definitely downloading it. Is it a good emulator? Can it run game discs from my DVD drive or do I need the ISO files?
Dunno, I was completely out of it for that entire generation. so I don't know anything about any of those games. dunno anything about gamecube, or original xbox either.
I have a wii, so I can always rectify that. I just find that the wii is pretty much all for group gaming, I mean, like, mariokart no reason to play that unless you've got at least one other person to play, preferably three. and then, the xbox, as much as I love beautiful katamari (I understand there are katamari games on the playstation 2) the selection is sparse on what I like and the selection of PC games is sparse on what I like, it's just there are SO MANY MORE. and so many endless possibilities I mean, star trek armada, star trek versus star wars mugen, peter griffin and optimus prime v. homer simpson and batman (which, btw, you can download it ready to go that way) I defy you to find those options on any console.
