Kind of know how you feel, sorta. My brother just joined the Army and I am really against it. I told my mom how I feel and she isn't happy either but nothing we can do. My brother joined with the intention of being in combat so he chose some sort of firearms thing which makes me mad even more.

not sure what that is....but sounds like your serious. Ive had a couple friends join since my brother...and nobody has had anything positive to say about it. I think my brother went again because he felt like he had nothing better going for him at home. My friends went because theyre dumbass adrenaline junkies. Just curious what your reasons are? If it's personal dont worry about sharing.
asvab is the placement test to see what military jobs you qualify for. for some reason, after qualifying for federal student aid for three years, i don't qualify anymore. and if i join the navy, there's a good chance of seeing the world. and after years of being in animal rescue im ready for a fuckin change. i swear its the reason i drink so much.
it's part of the deal. you have to make a 6 month deployment on a ship that tours the world at least once during enlistment. two of the three people i know in the navy went to japan as well as numerous islands and asian countries, another guy got to visit europe.
dont you have to be gay to be in the navy? just kidding. Well....if thats where you find yourself going then I wish you all the luck NP.
