This isnt to start an argument or anything everyones entitled to their opinion but IMO I wouldnt say travis is overly technical. He seems to play stuff just really fast , it isnt overly technical. I would put all of the other drummers ahead of him.

I would say John Bonham wins on all fronts for drumming. Keith Moon would follow up behind.

well from bands i've heard my favourites would be Mitch Mitchell of Hendrix Experience mainly because to me espicailly on 'Are you experienced?' album every song has a different rhythm! another of my favourites are John Densmore and John Bonham

This guy knows his shit man! Cobham is definitely up there on complexity and feel and so is Velmer. and don't bash Velmer unless you've seen STS9 live, cause he's fuckin amazing live!

i disagree with bonham and densmore being in the top 10 for complexity most of their drumming patterns were pretty basic the only thing phenomenal about their drumming was how in time they were......listen to nuclear burn by Brand X and tell me that Phil Collins is not number 1 for complexity

I agree with Holp.....travis isn't that great......I think that bob weiner and frank malabe should be on the list for complexity....any of you drummers that have played in their afro-cuban rhythm book should know this

Orsino, back when travis did it all, I'd agree with you. but I saw then at BSC and well, the two do waht Mike did.
    What's the point of that?
THat said his Zilla work is still cutting edge.
