I Do Not Have a Boy Friend... I Really Walked into a Door because my Dog Pushed the Door and I Walked into the Door as he was Pushing it... Twice I Have Clicked my Nose back into Place...But it Does Not Seem to Stay... ...
Go to the emergency room and ask to be billed later. Then just don't pay it. Medical bills don't effect your credit and go away after 7 years, at least that's how it is in the states. I did that for a dislocated toe back in May of last year, and all I really have to deal with is having a bill collector call me a few times a week. I just ignore it. Eventually they'll stop calling. You really should get that stuff checked out before it worsens.
Dishonest, yes. But I don't give a rat's ass. If this was Canada I'd have no need for the dishonesty. Insurance is sky high. It's impossible for me to pay it. I think if you need medical help, you should be able to get it regardless of money. Everyone is entitled to good health.
ive been told i can be very stubborn when it comes to those sorts of matters. id say id put up with it for ages before i got it checked out. Silly you for walking into a door by the way lol...or silly dog for not holding it open for you..
Exactly! Our medical insurance keeps going up...it used to be pretty good insurance, but now we're having to pay even more out of pocket.
Thats what I did when my lung collapsed, they still call me every once in a while, I like the messages they leave
dude, wtf? that's totally fucked up. btw, once those medical bills go to a collection agency, the collection agency WILL fuck up your credit. we couldn't pay our's for honest reasons for a while. we paid them off, but the collection agencies put it on our credit. better to make arrangements with the hospital than make arrangements with a collection agency. they'll REALLY gouge you.
The bills don't go away until 7 years after the last attempt to get ahold of you. So, they could mail bills to your last known billing address once before every seven years for the rest of your life and it would never go away. It makes more sense to me that "fraud" such as this would effect taxes much more than insurance. The insurance companies may use that as a shitty excuse, but they don't have to pay for people with no insurance, so what do they care if people screw the system? Taxes are what pay for those who can't or won't pay their own medical bills. If you've got medical insurance and you're skipping out on payments, then you're just stupid, because insurance often covers a good chunk of the bills anyway. You guys can turn your noses up all you want, but I'll tell you one thing's for damn sure, if I were to get sick or hurt badly enough, I'd get my ass to the ER and if the bills were too high and I couldn't work something out (and god do I know how that goes), I would shirk the damn things off, too, because my needs and my future family's needs outweigh the hell out of medical bills. Are people not entitled to good health as well because they can't afford it?
