I find pressing "play" works well enough.

I don't suggest trying it with a tool cd though, you'll probably get the equivalent of an error sound.

 

HA! you have no clue about what your talking about... TOOL is SMART, unlike the bullshit you most likely listen to. try getting into the music and not being a fool. They acctually have meaning to both their music and lyrics. and i know apple owners.... they like way lame music like emo bands.

Every song of every band has at least some similarities compared to at least some of the other songs by the band in question, as bands tend to have a general sound throughout an album and also throughout their career.

I've never heard a Tool song so I'm not getting involved in the discussion any further.

 

That is true, I don't ague that every band does, but many tool fanboys will argue that tool are so unique and creative. They're not. They're repetitive and boring.

Heh, figures, I've never heard a Floyd song either, or at least never decided I should listen to a Floyd song. Floyd, Tool, Opeth etc. are so overhyped I'm not even going to try. They have enough fans, they can do without me. "But you're missing out on so much!" Yeah, and I don't care, I discover more great new music every day than I can keep up with as it is.

 

im not a fucking "fanboy" i just like them and yes I DO think they are creative and unigue... more so then MOST of the music of today, just because i like them(alot) doesn't mean im a freak for them. I listen to other music that i like more like Grateful Dead and Tom Petty, diss them and your a major freak.

 

Guys... i think its ridiculous that you're arguing over a complete matter of opinion. I like tool, some people dont. I dont care. I like a lot of stuff that people think is crap, who cares! and who cares if you think its crap, its not hurting anyone. If it helps certain people feel good thats all you should be worried about. I just wasnt expecting on a hippy forum to see a seven page argument about something totally stupid. Relax guys

TOOL is going to be at Spokane Arena Dec. 7 and i got tickets... talk about kick ass!! I hope they play Rosetta Stoned, AMAZING song.

Are you talking about the fact that both of those songs have vocals, guitar, bass, and drums? That is the only simularity that I notice, because Schism is a very dark sounding song, with a very deep, complex rhythm. Since you have heard these two songs before, like you claim, than you agree that Rosetta Stoned is a much faster song, using some fairly basic rhythm patterns.

Now, Metallideth, can you please explain to all of us the OBVIOUS simularities between the song "Wings for Marie", and the song "Hush".
What are the, according to you, OBVIOUS similarity's that you know so much about? I would like to know how they sound so similar...
Maybe I just don't have the KNOWLEDGE that you have, because to me, they don't sound the same.

 

I hope that after being shown with solid proof that you will decide not to be an ignorant brain rattled sheep, and join the rest of us.
