I think shrooms (Psilocybin) guide your trip and bring you to a happy place, whereas LSD lets your mind go everywhere. The people who think shrooms and weed are okay but LSD is bad because it isn't from nature don't understand science very well. I have 3 friends who have been doing LSD since they were in junior high. One of them never went to college but has an IT job, a nice apartment, and he still smokes and drinks and does pills regularly but keeps his shit together. Another friend is in a metal band and a guitar tech or something (not sure what it is called but he travels with Kings X and assists them with various shit and plays sometimes). He didn't go to college either and he is doing well. He would rather be a rock star but he seems happy. The other guy didn't go to college until recently but now is on his way to a Biology degree and he plans to get a doctorate. He lives with his cool girlfriend who supports him while he is going through college. All of these people did a fuck ton of LSD, like 250-500 trips each between junior high and their 20th birthday. I didn't even try LSD until I was 20 hehe. This was back in the late 90's when LSD was easier to get than weed.
i really want to start using pyshcdelics and expanding my mind and being enlightened and all that stuff but in my town the drugs of choice are more along the lines of coke weed alc e and other pills so physchedelics are really hard to get a hold of. don't get me wrong i know that tripping isn't all fun and games and i know the majority of the enlightenment comes from bad trips but i'm willing to take that risk.
SweetEmotion - I think you have the right idea leaning towards the psychedelics and away from coke and pills. Have you ever read "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac or "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" by Tom Wolfe? I personally recommend reading these before venturing further but that is just my humble opinion. People do sell bogus LSD so be careful. Don't deal with any meth heads. There are all kinds of misrepresented LSD that is actually: Alprazolam (Xanax), Oxandrolone (steroid), DOB(similar to LSD but lasting twice as long and more speedy), DOC (sort of like high dose LSD mixed with 2C-B), DOI (similar to LSD, twice as long, a heavy dose is more dangerous than heavy LSD dose), AMT (another psychedelic). Just be wary.
Not everyone is going to be chemically sympatico with LSD, not to mention the fact, as was noted above, you can never be quite sure of what you're getting. My experiences were harsh and paranoid... Most of the literature on LSD would vindicate that a supportive setting is essential, as well as a clean bill of mental health (or relatively clean). I dont recommend any major psychotropic substance for anybody under the age of 18 developing physiology is often more vulnerable to fucking with the system...
if you've done shrooms then you should be able to handle acid. The experience is twice as long though. You'll be fine, just don't do meth or anything...atleast not till ur 18.
i'm not planning on it even if i am 18. all i want to to do now is acid, shrooms, weed(obviously), MDMA, mescaline and DMX.
I guess 18 is the magic age when you won't get psychologically or physiologically dependant on meth.:smilielol5: My advice for what it's worth is to focus on the things in your life now that are going to support your future stability, school, family, good friendships that last. Get those settled as a good foundation to your adulthood then you will be in a much better situation when it comes to using recreational drugs. I speak as someone who DIDN'T focus on those things at your age, and wish I had. And don't take meth...EVER. Meth and alcohol have ruined more lives of friends than any other substances. :cheers2:
my friend has been sold magazine cut outs and did them and thought he was tripping (or just acting like it) until someone told him he got ripped off. and twice the length of LSD fuck i would never be able to trip for a full 24 hours.
well friendships wont really be a problem because my friends are into the same things i am but more so to get fucked up. but as for school and family i wish i could take care of those things but i have the shittiest work ethic possible and i cannot relate to anyone in my family about anything.
That's my point exactly. Maybe you should step back and re-evaluate your freindships, school and family relationships. It is in your power to change all of those for the better and don't ever think otherwise. Sometimes it requires making hard choices and forcing yourself to do things that don't come easily. Family situations can be difficult, often though it just takes a willingness to see things from another persons perspective. Being willing to meet halfway does a lot to mend relationships as well.
