Had a quick hitting snowstorm on Sunday blanketing the area with between 6-12 inches of snow.
We had 6" locally with higher amounts to the south and southeast

Weather History: Today marks the 43rd anniversary of the Blizzard of 1978 in Massachusetts

100 mph winds with 30-48 inches of snow. The jack pot being the hills of northern Rhode island with 54 inches of snow. The City of Boston was hit by two consecutive black outs which left tens of thousands of residents in the dark and in the cold.
