    Today is Friday the 15th of January, 2021.

    In La Paz, BCS, MX today we have returned to level 5 on the Covid-19 scale, you are not alone, we are suffering here as well with so many tourists arriving and spreading their little packages of joy. I read that 40% of the new positive cases are American tourists from plague infested regions that should NOT be traveling. I am amazed Mexico has left it's borders open to this.

    So as of today no walking the boardwalk, no cinemas, no bars, no sports clubs or activities, no fun, no parties, all small non-essential businesses closed again. We are back to where we once were already...

    It ain't over yet.

    Still sheltering in place for now, since March 1st last year. Only going to the store for food, an occasional walk in seclusion, and the pharmacy as needed and very carefully at that.

    Citizen participation and awareness was requested , however, civil disobedience and the high influx of people, led to more restrictive measures and therefore the setback in the health alert traffic light.

    Well before my heart operation Zen it just had to be 10,000 steps a day minimum.
    Now just trying to build up to beyond that now.

    Following my heart operation the surgeon said to me:

    ‘During the heart operation we had to completely take every drop of air out of your lungs so they were completely collapsed.
    Now it is up to you to build up your exercise and particularly breathing again so as to stretch your lungs back to full capacity’.

    So this is what I must build up to do.

    Seattle, sunny and warm, but Seattle is a port city with weird weather. They often have weird weather, because they are sheltered harbors, making it easier to load and unload ships. For example, in the winter if I walk half a mile in one direction uphill, at around 10:00am or so the temperature will drop 15 degrees for at least an hour. Its some sort of wind coming off a glacier or something as the sun rises. The whole city is like that, and has radical swings barometric pressure in some places that are just hard to get used to.

    5 degrees. Cloudy.

    I am leaving this warm city on Tuesday for the coldest town of the country. So I will have real cold myself the following week.

    For both wednesday and thursday, forecast lows are minus 31 degrees currently.

    Snow! Who would have thought they would invent something so fun, so cold, and so heavy to shovel.

    Winter is one of those things we have to endure, it's actually a good thing.

    Seattle is a baffling city for predictors of anything. It's a wild place, and all sorts of energies swirly around those bays inlets and harbors.

    I have visited and seen the fish tossers, the coffee swillers, the uber-rich elite in their towers and the rest of us swarming the streets looking for some sun. It rains too much there for me.

    Now there is a weather vane I want.

    It has to be very large to be visible from atop the ramparts of my castle. It will be on the North Tower, opposite the South Tower where Igor lives.

    If all the tourists hadn't brought us the plague we could be going to the beach. But they are now closed.

    My opinion of tourists has never been lower. Can't they at least wear a mask?
