Have a great Tuesday everyone! The sun is shining here, and it got down to 70 F overnight... talk about SWEET RELIEF from the HEAT! YaY!
I skipped out of work today, sorry but the sea called, saying "eat me!" I had not been to my favorite lunch place since the plague began to hit us in March 2020. Today I braved the vaccinated mask-wearing crowds (and found no crowds of people...). So it was decided. Mariscos Los Laureles on the Malecon with fresh air, bright sunshine, and a wonderful plate full of food. What more could one ask, but for a singer belting out a tune for your enjoyment? The view is always amazing from your table at this place:

A wild, windy and wet night last night !!! Cars stranded in water amid flood warnings across Sussex Cars and other vehicles have been stranded after widespread flooding 10 comments VEHICLES have been stranded after flooding. East Sussex Fire and Rescue have warned road users to “be prepared” amid flooding in parts of the county. An image taken by Tim Clarke shows a car and a van stuck in water under an overpass, with water over the bonnet of the car. Earlier today, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall. The warning covers large swathes of the UK, with most of southern England set to be affected. Areas in Sussex which were expected to be hit hardest included Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne, Worthing, Uckfield, Arundel and Chichester. This warning came into play at around 4pm and will last until 3am on Thursday, October 21. It is also expected that a yellow warning will be issued for around a similar time on Thursday. The Met Office said to expect some spray and flooding on roads, interruption of power supplies, bus and train services to be affected and the flooding of homes and businesses to be likely. A Met Office spokesman said: "An area of heavy rain reaching southwest England late Wednesday afternoon spreads eastwards across southern England, reaching the far southeast of England by mid-evening. "Rain will last for around six hours in any location, finally clearing southeast England during the early hours of Thursday. "Rain may be accompanied by coastal gales and, in a few places, thunder. 15 to 25 mm of rain is widely expected with 30 to 50 mm possible in a few places."

Today's weather was wonderful... much cooler here also. Down from recent highs near 100 F, now around 84 F. Clear and sunny! Today's BIG adventure was visiting the water store. A week's supply of reverse osmosis filtered water, $2.50 for the lot. But I must bring the bottles to the store, and drag them home myself. They wash them out and refill them. 20 liters apiece. What do you pay for water, or do you drink from the tap?
Very lucky, I am happy for you! Here the aquifer has been overdrawn and sea water is infiltrating it, the salinity factor rises annually.
..... There is no guessing about it Mart. You are really lucky. I bet it tastes better than the homogenised chlorinated and added fluride water we get through our taps here in North Wales! ...... ...... Good whatever time it is with you on this Friday folks. Just very cloudy here today and it isn’t raining. So not too bad now we are in late autumn. Just 11c (50f)) here right now.
