    Yeah, you don't want to deal with them poking you in the eye. Best part was no memory of any of it. Went to sleep, and woke up moments later... that is all I experienced. There was no pain whatsoever before or after. Just an eye patch for 24 hours.

    Damn these remotes eat batteries!

    But now I use my whiz bang new cell phone instead!

    It has become the household control center.

    Today in La Paz, a continuation of summer.

    The mayor, who is supposed to leave office September 10, left town today. Skipped out. And as usual everyone is asking where is all the money? The treasurer has also disappeared. In Mexico the transitions of governments between administrations is always an interesting time. Lots of scandals in the local papers, it is deliciously entertaining.

    Good chance of thunderstorms this afternoon! I think there is a hurricane brewing that will be here this coming weekend.

    It's the time of the season to be on the watch for storms!!!

    Hope you stay safe and dry.

    Last storm came by started in the Caribbean, crossed the Mexican mainland and reformed in the Pacific. Dumped a bit of rain on us here in Baja Sur, that's all.

    88F and hazy, humid here in Northern Connecticut.
    Poke in the eyes particularly bad for me, Zen.
    When I was maybe 5, my brother told me to look in the barrel of his air rifle and identify a bug inside.
    I put an eye to the task and he shot my eyes full of sand!
    Back then, doctors made house calls, and one came over.
    I was held down while my eyes were flushed and picked clean...which left me with a life long phobia concerning my eyes being touched. I can't even open them under water!
    No, I can't have my eyes touched without panicking. Now you know why!

    That was a terrible thing to do to you... no wonder you have fear of eye touching.

    But it's really normal to not want someone poking you in the eye. :)

    I have so much going on at the moment time is too tight to mention.

    Soon to be named Nora, this baby is not here yet, but this is a projection for Sunday.

    This one is mean, we are stocking up and filling the gas tank today.

    Flashlights and candles at the ready, we have a gas stove so at least we can cook the food in the frig as it defrosts. :)
