    I use a new pair each night for that very reason. Someone had said, or I read on the internet ear health can be adversely effected by sleeping with earplugs night after night.

    Right now it is a cool and breezy morning, but will top 100 F today...Hot Hot Hot. And the humidity is rising, it gets up to the 90% range here in summer. Usually it's dry.

    Occasionally Soul, Wifey snores and I use my in ear Bose noise cancelling phones to totally silence her!
    All I hear is a slight hiss which sounds like the gentle sea.
    Job done and I then sleep like a baby! :)

    I am the opposite. Grew up in the tropics and I can't sleep at night without the sound of a fan, or a sound machine in cold weather.

    I hate earplugs, they mess me up being a side sleeper...I don't like them jamming into my skull holes.

    Another 100 degree day ahead of us... here it is 10:40 am and it is now 80 degrees F in the casa. I just turned on the minisplit in the main salon on the ground floor. It is a big one and it roars as it spews cool air. Like a reverse dragon's breath.
