The Rolling Stones Out Of Our Heads "Satisfaction" 1965 "i cant get no satisfaction".... aint that the truth
I love the stones... haha, everyone calls mick "papa jaggar" in bali and throughout indonesia... you used to come over rolling stones grafitti like the logo and such around urban areas of Jakarta... lol. My mom saw Mick in Bali when he was trying to get married and she made a stones scrapbook of press clippings and pics... he tried to marry someone but if you aren't baptized in Indonesia to proclaim the same religion as the person you intend to marry, the marraige isn't official... so mick didn't get married because I think his fiancee was either muslim or hindu... there was a lot of controversy behind it. I love the stones... aaaaaand... I just listened to Angel by Jimi Hendrix... probably one of his best but rather underrated songs... softer and reminds me a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughan's songs like Lenny and Riviera Paridise. I am now listening to Killing Floor... performed by Jimi, as well... I can't find my version on my computer with Howlin Wolf and Hubert Sumlin.
haha, wow, did not know that george.. Which version of Angel did you listen to? I don't like the electric version much if at all, but his acoustic version is soooo good... Rolling Stones Some Girls "Miss You" 1978
One of the best songs ever... Doyle Bramhall wrote it for Stevie when he was having drug problems and went to rehab and all... he was mixing cocaine with whiskey and eating away his stomach lining... Stevie only did two or three songs for the unplugged concert with MTV... but, I just wish he could have done more acoustic things like that. Doyle knew him for a long time and ran away from Dallas with Stevie's brother Jimmie... they played together all the time... now his son plays with Clapton... I think that's probably my favorite 12 string song ever written... Hello there, my old friend, not so long ago it was 'till the end We played outside in the pouring rain, on our way up the road we started over again You're livin' a dream, wo you on top My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop Up and down that road in our worn out shoes, talkin' 'bout good things and singin' the blues You went your way, I stayed behind We both knew it was just a matter of time You're livin' a dream, wo you on top My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop No wasted time, we're alive today Churnin' up the past, there's no easier way Time's been between us, a means to an end God it's good to be here walkin' together my friend You're livin' a dream, wo you on top My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop
I'm listening to the acoustic version... I like a lot of his less wild and lesser known stuff. his blues songs are good too... I like a lot of his work with albert king...
Peter Frampton - Penny For Your Thoughts... I love this song... I love the little pull off he does and harmonics...
