Aaaaaaaah!!! Dude thinks MDMA and DMT are similar and has the nerve to call other people neophytes.
I celebrated the use of hallucinogens between the years 1968 - 1973 and partook of lsd, mushrooms, weed, morning glory and what ever other hallucinogen was available. My experience, like Zombie, was that there was no comparison to the depth, intensity and revelation that acid brought. Mushrooms were great fun, and different - perhaps in the same game as acid - but not the pure mind expanding, color exploding, visions of a new world experience that acid was - Which leads me to wonder - have you not experience what I have - or - have I not experience what you have? Do you have any idea what family of mushrooms you speak of? My experience was with srooms I gathered myself in pastures. Purple head with purple skirt, born in cow manure. I am at a loss as to how someone could experience what I have and say that srooms are more psychedelic than LSD.
I don't wish to speak for Zombie - but if your are speaking of DMT, MDMA and the like - I am less that a newbie. But when it comes to acid, mushrooms and cacti - I feel extremely comfortable in wha I say. My generation did not take 5 or 6 hits - we worried abut whether we should cut one in half in case we had to leave the house. The days when people were striving to produce acid like Stanley Owsley.
As far as the mushrooms/LSD argument goes I am completely a fence sitter on this one. I think LSD's mental effects are far more intense than mushrooms but I do think mushrooms tend to have a heavier body load and could be considered more intense in that sense.
I'm going with Writer on this. I've taken some pretty high doses of LSD and shrooms, but while LSD can match the psychedelic intensity of shrooms, it's a different kind of intensity. LSD could never compare to the depth, emotion, and mysticism of shrooms. LSD = mental Shrooms = emotional/spiritual
In other words, I wager a bad trip on shrooms would kick my ass much harder than a bad trip on LSD, due to the intensely emotional nature of shrooms.
Then I can only assume that there was no such mushroom available 40 years ago - or there is no acid available this day and time that compare to what I experienced.
to answer number 2...I wouldn't go anywhere. Not for the first time. It's a drug where you will stay in your own head the entire time and want to experience the world around you. I know when I did it, interrelationships with humans didn't make any sense. If you did it at a party, you might freak out just because no one understands what you're experiencing and they will try and get you do socialize in ways that you really can't. And if you try and tell someone what's going on, they still won't understand. And they might even try and get you to describe it to them. Which is impossible to do. As for a good food to eat: Gummy bears.
Are you simply unwilling to contribute to this discussion without letting your emotions tackle you? I can almost see the smirk on your face as you type your posts out, secure in your unalterable opinion while regarding us mere children as incapable of fathoming what authentic LSD is like. The strychnine remark was in no way a 'shot' at you, it was a 'shot' at a few in your age group of whom I've encountered with no less than unsung irritation.
Of course I have experienced something similar in intensity and life changing with LSD, didn’t you read where I posted earlier how I was recently handling Czech crystal? I assure you that I know full well what you and zombie are talking about, I know what it means to take a tiny nibble and end up in fetal position for half the day begging God for forgiveness. I recently had to restrain my brother for several hours after ingesting my personal private vial of liquid that I had planned on saving for a few rainy days over the next few years. Yes, LSD is life changing, mind expanding, a real eye opener, yes the visuals are fantastic and far more pronounced than those associated with mushrooms, and yes the experience can be severely debilitating and rock you to the core. But what I am trying to say is that there have been a select few experiences I’ve had with mushrooms that made the most intense LSD experiences pale in comparison. One mushroom peak I had was even more intense than DMT. I am no one to judge whether or not you have experienced what I have when it comes to mushrooms, but what I am trying to express here is that I, personally, as in ME, found a few mushroom trips to be much more difficult to hang with, far more disturbing and leaving a much heavier impact on my consciousness, spiritual progress, and general manner of going about my business. The one that stands out the most, as in the trip that I claim was more intense than DMT, was no more than an almost handful of Psilocybe Azurescens. That experience was roughly 3 hours of something so utterly foreign to my mind that I to this day have difficulty integrating into my life. It was the trip that left me thinking “…and I thought I knew something about psychedelics before.” In fact, because of that experience, I still am left wondering just how much farther the mind can go without ceasing to operate. I’ve also picked them wild, most of my picking was done around central Florida. They were typically dark caps with a few blue meanies scattered here and there. On average they were fairly weak and we used to brew them by the cauldron and hand up beer bottles full of tea to people in the forests. A bottle had you hearing the whirring, two bottles had you seeing ghosts comes out of the fire pit, and any more then that had you locked staring at unlit fire pits for 2-3 hours too frightened and confused to move your eyes. I've only ever come across super potent strains through growing with friends, I've never lived long in a climate where they grow in the wild in that potency range.
I get my eights for 20, but I've seen them go for as high as 35. Make sure you get some caps, a lot of the time the dealers buy a bunch of shrooms and save the scraps (stems+dust) to sell to noobies, at least in my area anyway. When you buy them act like you've bought them before, and know what you're doing etc. Take a picture of them if you'd like to show us. People say an eighth is a good dose for a first timer, but if the mushrooms are decent, that could be quite overwhelming if you don't handle yourself. I've had some crazy trips off of a half eighth before, but I've also barely tripped off of a half. I wouldn't recommend doing it at the party, it could go wrong easily, but at the same time you could have a great time.
