IDK IF the statement is true, then "This statement is false" would be true, which would make it false, so then it prolly isn't true. However the phrase "false" can mean deceptive, not just wrong. So the pharse "this statement is false" could be false, but only because it excludes a larger clause, like "this statement if false, unless you can read english" or "If this statement is false i'm a tree hugging leftie." So, y'see, it isn't a paradox, it's jsut a case of not knowing something...
