I really don't see why race would be brought up in this incident. The dude didn't even look asian himself.. and he didn't go to UCLA. That chick is just being naive and ranting.

 

I myself am unsure if all gays enjoy butt sex. Perhaps some gays don't want to be penetrated anymore than straight guys do. Some gays probably only do the penetrating. From what I hear, they have preferences just like anyone else.

There's the obvious one, and various others who are much more subtle in their misogyny. There is one who has toned down a lot lately but who used to constantly talk about how he only has sex with paid prostitutes because he realized he spent just as much money and much more time spending money on drinks in an effort to get women to sleep with him. It really makes sense he switched to prostitutes because he was treating regular women like prostitutes anyways.

I have always found that really disturbing, not that particular poster specifically but just the idea that if a guy buys you a a drink you have to sleep with him. There's the idea that women can be bought and also the idea that they must get a woman drunk to cajole her to have sex.

As far as the Asian thing, I read somewhere that this guy left a lot of racist rants across the internet. Even though he was half Asian he didn't like white girls to sleep with other races.

I think he was a really demented individual but I also think rape culture and learned misogyny comes into play here too.

Hes just a bastard. Simple as that. I think people try to complicate things with modern phsycology and all the meds and shit but in the end I think some people are just assholes and thats all there is to it. I think hes a prime example, hes a complete fucking asshole and theres no magic pill or counseling for being an asshole. People with anger problems that go to anger management aren't neccessarily assholes, they just have troubles controlling anger.
Im not totally 100% against modern phsycology and all the drugs and diagnosis. I just think that alot of it is garbage and that if one day we get a deeper understanding of the human brain we might laugh at our primitive understanding of it today. Thats IF it is possible to understand it more deeply than we do now.

It seems that you were defending the idea that men are conditioned by "the patriarchy" to believe they should get whatever they want simply because they are male. Is that your position?

If so, that's very different from saying there are members who you suspect are "subtle in their misogyny", or some guy (I think I know who you mean) bitching about how he has to pay lots of money for dinner and drinks while trying to get women in bed.

I agree that it is wrong if guys think they are entitled to sex if they buy dinner/drinks/gifts (happens), just as it is wrong if girls try to manipulate guys into buying them free dinner/drinks/gifts (also happens).

That a guy complains about how much he spends on dates is different from saying that he feels a girl owes him sex for spending money (though it is reasonable to think that that might be his mindset).

You'll have to better define what you mean and site evidence before I'm on board with that one.
