Not a bad idea, make me some bumper stickers while you're at it :)

The most annoying thing to me is going to be all the frivolous court cases if this passes. But with Bush's high regard for Constitutional Rights I'm sure ... oooh wait a minute....oh well, just have to wait for reports of them from the Fox Website ;)

If you're an online gamer, be careful that you either

    1) Learn to encode your full legal name in every IP packet transmitted during a game, or

    2) Don't annoy your opponent by attempting to win the game.

Obviously, it would not be enforced over mere gaming. Unless someone in authority fails to come up with anything else to charge you with.

Here's the EFF alert re this law:

Hell I hope this doesn't come over to the UK. This would certainly open up a legal mine field.
Legally the Americans can do didly squat if I accidentally annoy them. Because I would come under British law not American law so legally what ever I do would be under British law.

every news outlet in the country, that makes even a pretense of trying to be objective could be shut down, and that is exactly what the forces behind bush seem to want. preferably without anyone realizing they'd done this.

there's no guarantee they'll get their way, and none that they won't.
yes this IS some scarry shit.

a hell of a lot scarrier to me, then a few 'terrorists' blowing up a few buildings.

    =^^=

Wait a minute! Youre saying Bill Clinton was a part of the Left? Are you sure you were awake during his presidency?

As for these new bills: It shows that the Bush Administration has a soft side. Theyre looking out for whiney conservative bitches that cant take harrassment over the internet. Boohoo

Its too bad that The Left did nothing for us during thier 8 years in The White House 1992- 2000.

We didn't have a leftist president during those years- in fact, we didn't even have a moderate. Clinton was hardline rightwing by nearly every measure. Reagan was quite moderate, perhaps even downright liberal in comparison with Clinton.

In Reagan's entire two terms, nothing he did during the entire presidency was as purely extremist xian conservative as Clinton's signature on DOMA alone. Reagan might have THOUGHT about banning gays in the military, but Clinton put it into law. Reagan spoke of massive cuts in social programs (e.g. welfare reform), but Clinton put it into place. The Telecom bill, interventions in all sorts of foreign wars, a drastic escalation in Reagan's "War On Drugs," increased executive powers- his every action was Republican in every way.

Now that son of a BITCH has the gall to tell Americans to "work within the system" and to "trust" the President to do the right thing. Fuckin' bastard. Clinton's got his nose so far up Dubya's ass that if Clinton burps, Bush hiccups.

I wouldn't say the same for Al Gore. It was Al Gore himself that warned- in writing in an official report that was made public at the time- that terrorists from the Middle East were likely to use hijacked planes against American targets, and even named the World Trade Center as the most likely first target. But Clinton, rightwing piece of shit that he is, did nothing- just like Bush. Clinton was so Christian rightwing, in fact, he couldn't even admit he got a fucking blowjob!

At the time, it puzzled me that the extremist Christian fundamentalist fucks were attacking one of their own. But after seeing Bush, it's clear that they didn't want one of their own leading. They decided that what they really wanted was the whole world, and they want it NOW.

The only thing I've noticed that Clinton did that wasn't totally rightwing was his policy on supplying weapons to those committing genocide in Africa. The most extreme governments were cut off from arms supplies, and for that he deserves some credit. But most likely, he just felt that the market for it would be better later on.
