yeah it was based on a true story.. i believe it was intended to shock ppl... to show us what some 13 yr olds are actually doing. ppl don't think that kids under 16 do this kind of shit, but obviously they do... i liked it, thought it was pretty good... reminded me of when i was 13... luckily i didn't go through most of that b/c i moved, but it still brought back memories...

I just watched it and wanted to see what people thought of it...
I though it was good but agree that it would bebetter if they were 15...i think having them in 7th grade makes it less realistic but Im sure for some people it isnt that far from the truth

all in all i thoguht it was great though

I think it was interesting..quite good....and I can relate to it, cos all the kids around where I live are like that..freaks on drugs that are end up like alcholics...pity, but true....Actually I think the film is too..dunno..it wants to say so much..but it doesn't dwel on anything...i guess it could have been done a lot better???

i used to take care of a 12 year old girl whose mom was a big time crack head ( would turn tirx when desperate). this little girl thought mommy was leading the best life there was, she wanted to be just like mommy, was talking about doing some of the same shit, trying crack at her age, sleeping around, skipping school ect. one night i got sooo frustrated with her not understanding that was not a good way to be - for her or anyone - so while her mom was out getting wrecked i made her watch the movie & discuss her thoughts with me afterward. she cried for a solid hour after the movie, told me she NEVER EVER wanted to be like that & called her grandmother to come and take her for about a month so she could clear her head. i think the movie proved to be a very useful tool in helping this girl realize what sex & drugs could do to a person if they have no self control. aside from an educational tool, i personally wasn't impressed with the movie. and for those of you who think it would have been more realistic if the girls were a bit older - WAKE UP!!!! there are 13 y.o.'s out there giving birth, turning trix & putting themselves in rehab. if thats not happening in your neck of the woods, please let me know where you live so i can relocate with my kids.

The movie was dull. There's nothing in it that they didn't show in some lame PBS after school special. Oh, right, swearing. They said "fuck" and thus, it must be brilliant.

What does it tell us that we didn't already know? We know teenagers do drugs, have sex, and steal. We know that teenagers act idiotic to impress their friends. It's the same boring story that has been told before, and will be told again. Each time, people will call it brilliant, for reasons unknown to me.

I saw it in theater, and i own it now. i thought it was really interesting, and depressing. It scares me to think that my little 13 year old sister faces alot of the same stuff everyday.
