Remember to climb the political or corporate ladder, you've got to be pretty callous at times, decieve, and abuse. Which is why you get really good white-collar crime con-artist up there.

Also at @Karen, I just realized that a random unexpected element like a pickpocket who takes a prostitute or escort's purse left in the bathroom as security precaution, could totally mess up that barrier of protection and the night in general for prostitute and client.
(how do they improvise in this situation because I'm sure this has happened to someone, especially since cell phones get taken by thieves all the time)

 

I know a hooker who did exactly what you seem to be doing. She had a good job, did a lot of research (a year, according to her), and eased herself into the profession and shows no regret.

I find it interesting how different cultures view prostition. While some take it to the extreme & impose death penalties (although such countries tend to impose death penalties for every little thing), others view the prostitute as the slime of the earth, right the way through the range of attitudes to the Oriental cultures that consider the prostitute as one of the most honoured professions that one can go into.

I know that surveys have been made in the UK as to whether or not prostitution should be legalised on a licenced basis, and the results not only showed to be overwhelmingly in favour, but when the polls were further analysed according to status (married male, married female, single male, single female), it showed that the majority of those that voted in favour were married women.

 

I had to wonder about that when I got to the part where she said positive things about pimps. I thought everybody saw them as cynical manipulators.

I know your intentions are good, but everything in your post goes back to the old TV and movie world stereotype. Even in HBO documentaries, they tend to focus on the most extreme hardship cases, where the girls suffer from addiction issues, mental/emotional issues, and deeply dysfunctional personalities. They need a lot more than just a job change.

Even at the strip club level (same mindset, lower intensity), there is a lot of turnover. When girls find out that they are not cut out for that kind of work or start to experience sexual burn-out, they usually quit and go into something else. At the lowest levels of the sex trade, they really have nothing to lose by walking away. All it takes is enough cash for bus fare to another town.

Most girls will make out only single lonely deperate guys see pros. If they live alone its far more likely they have secret 19 year old girlfriends cos they hung on to their money, or other guys wives come for secret visits.

Whether its prostitution, marriage, commentment or even love, its still sex in exchange for something other than hot hot bam bam with the super hot guy. Holding out waiting for the guys to give you stuff is not going to get you that. And you might find working as an escort frustrating in that way, lots of men, but none that can hit it out of the ball park, make you go cross eyed for a month
