Karen do you know how true it is that escort agencies filter who can work for the agency based on looks? I think there's a sterotype out there that they cater to high end clients who expect, for lack of a better way to say this, 8-10 looks in the looks department. And that they will pressure some girls to have some kinda of body modification to appeal to clients? How true are these myths based on what you've heard?
This is a massive social issue. No government will risk state-controlled brothels but there is always a demand for sex. It's a basic human need. But anytime we can take out the risks of infection & the risks to working girls then that needs to be backed. How can you suggest any girl become a prostitute?? It's awful. But I would be a hypocrite as I have paid for oral sex twice but never full sex as I'm very wary of the consequences. For me, I know I can go out and pay for sex within 30 mins if I really wanted to. But in my head I know I won't. I prefer to have a healthy loving relationship with women if at all possible. But people have needs and no woman in her right mind actually WANTS to become a prostitute. Even if you say you enjoy having sex, just offer it to friends then, if you do it safely. They'll love you for that... but... then there's the social labels of "slut", "easy lay" etc.. so the best form of pleasure is discretion...
It's her life. You can get STD from oral sex. How does that relate to her situation? There are tons of people that would go. Again, how does that relate? She wants to make money, not have a healthy relation. Are you all woman to know that? She is having sex. She wants money. No, no one will like her for that. They will like having sex with her, not her.
I lived in Atlanta in the early 90's and I use to frequent a strip club called Magic City. There was a beautiful dancer there named Natalie and she was the only girl I would let dance for me. On most nights, I would spend +$200 on her. I know for a fact that she would usually make $900-$1200 per night. She only worked three days a week. Now, the landscape of the stripping game is different here in NYC so I dont know what kind of money u can make here. But stripping beats selling your ass.
That's the thing. I can't figure out if these guys I fuck actually like me or if they just like having sex with me. They might hate me for all I know. That's why I wonder if I shouldn't charge people. Then that establishes control. With that said, I am leaning towards not charging...After all why should I care if these guys like me. I have a true girlfriend.
Well, it worked in Pretty Woman. Happily ever after... Seriously, this seems like such a dangerous thing to do. And no one will respect you, you are more likely to be raped or killed and no one will care. not to mention the diseases.
It depends on what city you are talking about. The expectations and standards are higher in the largest cities, where there is more money to be made. The most important quality for success as a high-end escort is personality. No matter what she looks like, a girl who acts and talks like a streetcorner hooker is not going to make it. After 5 minutes of conversation with a typical whore, a guy who is used to hanging out in country clubs all the time is going to think in his head, "I can't fuck you because you're an idiot." Most of the guys with big money really do care about that sort of thing. His fantasy girl is sexy and smart; she's a hotter, more adventurous version of his wife. She's going to make her own decision. I just lay out the facts, as I see them. I can't understand women who are willing to stand on a streetcorner and fuck any moron, serial killer, pervert, or recently released mental patient who has cash in his pocket. But sex for money isn't limited to that, obviously. That was a great time to be in Atlanta. :cheers2: You could definitely benefit from spending some time working in a strip club. It's kind of like extreme speed dating; a crash course in human nature. Working 8 hours a day, you can talk to thousands of men in a year. Most will only care about your body. The others will stand out, after you have a lot of experience and learn what to look for. I think you would learn a lot about men, if you do that for a year or two. I was surprised when I first realized how many strippers and hookers are bisexual.
What does this mean, "manager", did you used to be a hooker? I'm going to counter argument each of your points here. Actually it's the oldest profession in the world. Hookers are a dime a dozen. So are broken relationships and selfish people. You want to break out of the mold? Have a healthy, loving, long relationship that doesn't end in a divorce. That will make you stand out. Doing break and enters at night lets you have a lot of a free time during the day too. Having considered invading homes with an uzi? Lots of money there to be had, and you will be very respected at your job with a gun in your client's face. Because that is all you will be, your appearance. Your substance you forfeit, your body becomes your sole bargaining chip in life, and your soul becomes tired and empty. That's true, except a receptionist can put that on her resume, and doesn't have to suck the cock of a man she would never look at twice because that's how she puts food on her table. Your youth will vanish somewhere in the first few weeks of being a prostitute. You will never regain it. You will have squandered it. Young people don't sell their bodies to the night. Have fun enjoying your youth in a woman's prison. I hear they get cable. Maybe you'll luck out and get to relax in a comfy AIDS clinic with free radio. Shackled to the equation "My open vagina/asshole/mouth = food", not much freedom there. Sure, you can pick which corner to stand on, and which color lipstick to wear tonight, how wonderful. Reclaim them so you can nurture them yourself and give them even more power. A slut and a prostitute are two very different things. I suspect that people treat you like a slut because you act like a slut, as per this thread. If that is really bothering you, have you considered looking into why you are so eager to open your legs left and right, and yet yearn for some kind of stable man in your life? You need a long hard look at who you are as a person, not a long hard stretch in federal prison. You seem to think you will have a great deal of selection in your clients. Yes, every little girl dreams of the day when she can finally be a prostitute so that mommy won't hide her hair pins. Seriously? How old are you? You want to become a fucking hooker so you can paint your nails however you want? You can do that right now, no need to endanger your life and freedom. First off, he is invested in keeping you the way he likes you being, because you are his source of income sugar. You are a walking talking paycheck to him. Your value drops to zero the second you are sick, or otherwise unable to open your legs to the money. Second, if you yearn for a "father figure" so much, I suggest you look into this in the context of THERAPY, self-exploration, self-maturation, and not "My daddy didn't love me so i'm going to have sex with strangers for money because then I'll have a pimp who will control me and that is the closest thing to a daddy I ever had". You will look so cool being a rebel on the clock at night, fretting and biting your nails between clients, or pacing in your cell (of coolness) and proving that you can do things however you want. Except go outside for a walk, or have a real life.
again, I tend to agree with the stripper route if you want to earn money using your body.. and then if you're willing to go down the sex route you may be able to vet clients by getting to know them first in the strip club.. and re STDs from oral sex, I was wearing a condom..
I can't believe you equated a victimless social crime with one that involves threatening random people with instant, violent death. :toetap05: You should know better. These things are at opposite ends of the moral spectrum. Your whole post reads as if everything you know about sex for money comes from TV crime dramas. Your stereotypes and assumptions represent only the lowest, most basic level of a complex subculture. And with your attitude, you're unlikely to get a girl who knows anything from personal experience to tell you the truth about any of it (in person). All the strippers say to the uptight, judgmental guys who inquire, "No, I never meet customers outside the club, and I've never known anyone who did that."
Ahem just to chip in with what writer said about rebelling. IMHO you can rebel from your parents by stuffing them in a nursing home once your a successful college educated person and they need your help...that's our rebellion right there. Going into prostitution or drugs with the mindset of rebelling...often hurts you more than it hurts anybody else. And while bodyguards might be hired for prostitutes, I doubt the bodyguard can prevent a bad client from his abusive goal. A bodyguard will only be able to check in for support or to discover you dead. Basically damage done and discovered not damage prevented.
true --------------- But still, you seem to be a woman with some experience of life etc. in your heart of hearts, do you feel comfortable advising a girl to become a prostitute.. the negatives far outweigh the positives..
I asked about that. Standard procedure is to drop off your handbag in the bathroom. If things go in a bad direction, you lock yourself in the bathroom if you can, and use your cell phone. Clients also have some fear that the tough guy is gonna show up before they can pack their stuff and get out of the room, which is an incentive to behave. If everybody is having fun and a customer wants to pay for a second or third hour, she excuses herself and sends a text message from the bathroom. But that's the second layer of protection. The most important thing is having a lot of skill when it comes to figuring out who is potentially violent and who just wants to have a good time. Some girls just have a natural talent for it. They're the ones who love this kind of work. The others are just taking huge risks for money, like the drug addicts in the TV shows. I hate to say it, but money is an effective screening tool too. Most of the dangerous guys can't afford to pay much for a girl, or go to the nicer clubs, or stay at one of the better hotels in a big city. As much as I hate Donald Trump, I know he's never going to beat the shit out of somebody with his bare hands. Evil rich guys are a different kind of evil, if you know what I mean. The scary, psycho dude from the carwash goes to the bad part of town and hires the cheapest whore he can find. I used to go on trips with a man who liked hiring girls to join us in the room for a little extra fun. (If I still did it, I wouldn't tell you .) I never met one of those girls who didn't appear to love her work. If they didn't love it, they were great actresses. They weren't afraid of us. I don't think they were afraid of being arrested either. Somebody might have guessed why they were going to our room with us, but who could prove anything? No cash was exchanged in public. If asked, we were just consenting adults who met in a bar. After I learned a little about this stuff, I was able to get into conversations in bars where girls were stopping by after meeting clients in hotels. They usually did encounters cold sober, so they were ready for a couple of drinks afterward. I saw one of them buy a hit of E from the bartender and take it in front of everybody. They would talk to me openly, as soon as they realized that I already knew quite a bit, and I wasn't going to judge them for their lifestyle. There are so many different ways that this game gets played out. Like, there used to be some all-nude clubs in Myrtle Beach, SC where the girls turned tricks right there in the back rooms, with bouncers all over the place. Situations like that tend to not last very long, even if the local police are paid to look the other way (another standard thing). Somebody makes a phone call, an investigation is made at the state level, and clubs get closed down. Owners go to jail. Also, if you don't think any part-time hookers work out of Hooters restaurants, you're kidding yourself. It's just too easy. I didn't have easy access to strip clubs when I was in college, or shortly after. Otherwise, I probably would have experimented with all this shit.
To the OP . . . I'm sure you've already thought through all the physical repercussions of this, like being raped or contracting an STD. I know it's easy to think: "I like sex, I'm good at it, pay me." - but it doesn't work like that. You think you become 'sexually empowered' because you believe you're in control of your own sexuality. The reality is, you've become the most powerless person possible. It's the johns that hold the power, and it's the pimps, it's the diseases that control you and weaken you. Your beautiful body, that should be precious and honored, even if it's only from yourself, will be used and tossed away. The touches and feelings that should be associated with love and passion will instead be ruined by those that are only looking for their own physical satisfaction. Prostituting yourself won't lead to empowerment or happiness, it's a dark path that once you get on, is almost impossible to leave. You will become a husk, nothing left but a body to be used and abused by others. You deserve much more than that. Peace, - Flowermama
