Things that annoy you

What annoys me about opiates is when opiate users act like they're pharmacists and oh so well educated on everything they're putting into their bodies yet they still continue to use opiates and act like opiates are just the coolest thing in the world.

I like to educate myself on what I put in my body too, but if I determine something is bad for me I generally stay away from it.

Now that I've offended everyone....ahhhhh...I'm outta here!

- People that don't know that they are ignorant. It's one thing to not know, but to not know and think you know then preach on that perceived "knowledge" (on any subject), gets under my skin. Especially when it comes to something as addictive as opiates.

The things that happen when you buy from other people. It can drive you fucking nuts. You call a guy and he says yeah I have it, and it's such and such a price and you get there and it turns out he doesn't really have it, someone else does, and it's a different price, and a different "product" that you wanted, and they want the money up front, and when you finally get to the person with the pills, you ask to see them before you turn over the cash and they get all pissy, like you don't trust me, well no motherfucker because I've been fucked around half a dozen times before, so show me the pills or no cash, I've been fucking around with this for 6 hours now. Yeah, that kind of annoys me.

 

Tolerance is my number one most annoying thing about opiates. I hate the steady increase to get the same affect. I hate jumping through hoops with legit diagnosed chronic pain & my doc barely wants to prescribe opiates. I also want to slap the pharmacist when I go for my refill giving me those special kind of looks. Like they hate to fill painkillers or something. It's especially annoying when friends and family try to find out what you're taking so that they can hit you up for some pills. Like I have any to spare when I'm undermedicated as it is. They don't care if I'm in pain just as long as they feel good. Craziness. My number 2 biggest annoyance is of course, withdrawals. That keeps you broke, sick, and in trouble if you are not careful with your meds. The last annoying thing is the itchies I get from opiates sometimes it's bothersome other times it's kinda fun to scratch. :tongue:

 

Oh, I know your pain. Especially right now. The part about other people finding out about your meds. I got almost half my prescription ripped off a little over 2 weeks ago. I ran out last Wed. so I'm in the 5th day of withdrawal from vicoden. And it's like the Energizer bunny. I'll get another refill Fri. though. By then I'll be through it. And yes, my username is an oxymoron. Get it? lol

 

Dang happydude, what kind of lowlife scum will steal someone's meds?
A good rule to have is when it comes to narcotics don't ever tell anyone you're on them. You'll have a brand new set of "friends" waiting to pounce on ya. I say trust noone, not even family because these drugs are too tempting. I know I'm not trying to suffer through withdrawal because someone choose to steal my meds to get high. Fuck that, it they have legit pain tell them to see the doctor like you do. Get a lockbox and stash it under you bed or something. It may seem extreme, but when you see people pay $30 a pill and their whole mortage payment just went to the dealer, you'll learn to protect your stash from everyone.

 

I know. From now on, I'll keep it under lock and key. It was a guy I haven't known very long. Why he didn't steal all my meds, I don't know. But he's an addict with no prescription and no valid reason to have one. He's just been taking them recreationally and became addicted. Now he's afraid of going through withdrawal. Which makes him a thieving wimp in my book. Yes, withdrawal sucks. But I've been through it several times, and I've never considered stealing someone's medication that they need for pain just to get myself out of withdrawal temporarily. A person like that just needs to go through the whole withdrawal process, which with vicoden really just lasts about a week, and then when they're feeling better maybe they'll come to the conclusion that it's time to stop. But probably not.

Oh god. people who drink sizzurp would barely even classify as opiate users. and congrats on picking two of the most obscure slang terms for opiates in "cheese" and "krokodil"

I guess we should come up with something cooler like 'microdot,' blue heaven, or "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds'

Perhaps even something super creative like 'hit' 'tab' or 'sugar cubes?'

If we are talking strictly things that annoy us and not things that INFURIATE us like some of you are doing, then this would take the fucking cake. It's pretty funny how someone who has read everything on the internet on how to cope with withdrawals and has gone through withdrawal 42891205473+1 times doesn't even know how to properly spell or even figure out the proper past and present tense the word.

I've read and heard:

'withdrawaled'
'withdrawaling'
'withdrawed'

and so on. I make grammatical mistakes too but this one is just really annoying.

Something else that annoys me beyond belief. Former users/recovering addicts who continue to hang around drug forums with the sole purpose of moral high-horsing and 'lecturing' others on the dangers of drug use. These people had no problems abusing the shit out of their DOC when they were using but once they decide to quit they won't shut up about how you are 'wasting or throwing your life away' or some other similar shit.

 

2 things that extremely annoy me concerning opiates (I can hardly believe there's any):

1: When you're hyped for getting some, and then when the time comes around the person's like "oh sorry, don't have any. I have xanax/valium though!". Nothing pisses me off more when i hear that from people who cant appreciate the monumental difference between opiates and shit like that. It's like if you thought you were getting a porshe and they drive up in a broken down Honda, plowing over your mailbox and tearing up your lawn, screaming "Isn't this great!?".

2:Ok, this one's kinda my fault. I fall into a really unpleasant pattern that pretty much guarantees that i live in constant frustration. See, whenever I don't have any opiates I get pissed. I tell myself constantly that if only i just knew i had some available, i'd ration them out and would be happy as a clam. Then when i do get them i can barely sleep knowing they're there for the parachuting/snorting. Ususally i do hold out though because building a tolerance SUCKS, i learned that the first time i got a half a bottle of hydromorphone.

 

when you have high mg OC for sale and the clowns say "no" cause thats to many mgs. yet pop the babies with Tylenol like they are candy..

I can throw some Tylenol in for free if they want..

 

That is f-ing hilarious. I would love to actually know what was going on inside these clowns' minds to make them actually think that they couldn't just cut a f-ing OxyContin tablet into halves or quarters or more.

I suggest buying a bottle of Acetominophen from Wal-Mart for $1.99, and grinding up the tablets with some OC to make your own "Percocet". I mean, maybe liver damage is part of the high these days?

I know an entire neighborhood full of morons that call klonopins, "coladapins". I know that's a benzo and not an opiate, but nonetheless very annoying.

 

Honestly I love the shit out of opiates. There is ABSOLUTLY no 1 thing I do not enjoy about using opiates.......now the mother fuckers involved in the trade/sell/purchasing of these products is quite possibly the single most annoying thing I have to deal with. AND I DON'T JUST MEAN DEALERS!! I mean the fact that I have to go to my pain doc when he knows I'm a broke kid living on my own at 21 and I KNOW FOR A FACT I could only have to go ONCE every 3 months. This would only cost me $260 for the YEAR for 4 appointments at $35 each and 12 RXs at $10 each!! Instead it's $540 a year!! I know don't tell me how lucky I am to get the rx in the first place cause HONESTLY IT'S NOT!! And another annoyance is meeting jack asses that say AWESOME MAN! When you tell them your a CPP. There all "man I bet you get so many scripts and shit BROOOO!!!! It's like YEA MAN IT'S AWESOME THAT IM 21 AND BECAUSE OF 1 DAMN CAR WRECK I CAN'T GET OUT OF BED IM IN SO MUCH PAIN IF I DON'T TAKE SOMETHING!! THAT REALLY IS SO DAMN COOL HUH BRAH!?!?! I know somebody already said this one but the stare the pharms give me EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO IN!! It's like you know my history of medications. You know that I have tried EVERY SINGLE NON NARCOTIC PAIN MED TREATMENT THERE IS!! also including a host of muscle relaxers, phisical theropy, massages, forced exercise to try and build muscle around my core to strengthen my back, spinal steroid injections, and I was on tramadol for OVER A YEAR!! Why are you looking at me funny when my doc moves me up to hydrocodone after that IT'S THE NEXT STEP!! I also hate ppl you have already told A MILLION TIMES BEFORE!! I do not sell my medications!! I have terrible chronic pain and have for years and YOU KNOW THAT!! I told you last week when you ran out to early I can't/won't/never will sell a single one of my pills to anybody. I'm sorry but not only is it VERY illegal but then what I do I do when I'm out with days left till my next RX just sit in bed for days with pain levels at a 8-9. Yea fuck that noise. And I know this is kinda similar but ppl that ask you to sell you medicine that you need for LEGIT pain they no you have struggled with for YEARS! And they want you to give them some do they can get high!! Yea the answer couldn't be farther from what you want it to be. Basically ALL the time, money, effort, struggle, fight that goes on every single month just to get 120 norcos and a little morphine on the side from a firend that helps me out. I mean why is it so hard!! Rant over sorry as you can tell my meds kicked in right when I started posting this haha.

You know what else is annoying? People trying to give advice on addiction when they have never even been addicted to ANYTHING!! Also people who try to give "advice" on opiate forums when they don't use opiates and never have. "I can't tell a mother fucker how to fly a plane, if I ain't never been up in the cockpit, you feelin me mayne?"-Z-RO
