Wait why didn't the republican girl respond to my post about GWB's resume?? I was hoping to hear an intellectual arguement..
Maybe you should site a source? Others have gotten kicked off of the forums for plagarising like this. Of course, they were republicans. How do I even know these arguments are valid? You very well could have made them up off the top of your head. Give me a source, then I'll give you a debate.
Sorry there moose, but you're forgetting the first attack on the World Trade Centers, the embassy bombings in Africa, and the attack on our Navy ship U.S.S. Cole. Americans were killed in all of those attacks. Embassy soil is sovereign U.S. soil. The war with terrorists began years ago. We only recently took the fight to them.
Kilted2000 is absolutely right. We are where we are due to the flawed middle east policies of at least the last four administrations including the current administration. We did arm Saddam in his fight with Iran. That's why Iran got pissed and was attacking our oil tankers in the Persian Gulf with those high speed gun boats. Anyone here remember any of that? In fact, there was an undeclared secret war with Iran that most don't know about. Ted Koppel interviewed a retired Admiral about the Iranian civilian Airbus incident. One of our navy ships shot it down. I wish I could remember the name of that ship. Anyone? Bush senior stood in front of the UN security council and swore that the ship was in international waters and that it thought it was under attack. Well it did think it was under attack, but it wasn't in international waters. According to the Admiral, that ship was involved in a covert operation against the Iranian gunboats that had been harrasing the oil tankers. The navy was floating barges, that on radar would resemble a tanker, in order to draw out the gunboats. Then Apache helicopters would appear and kill the gunboat. The navy ship would then move in for recon. Well, the night the navy ship shot down the airbus, they were reconning well within Iraninan territorial waters and when they saw the jet on their radar coming right at them, of course they assumed they were being attacked. We've been dumbasses in this country for allowing our addiction to foreign oil to continue after the 1970's gas shortages. The writing was on the wall then already. Fuel Cell technology already existed then. It of course was as yet unrefined. I'm buying a new vehicle soon. It will be diesel, because if things get any worse and we start paying the exhorbitent fuel prices that Europe and Japan have been paying for gas for years already, I'll convert to bio-diesel. It's a proven technology.
how am i plagerizing if I'm not stating the information as my own? I'm posting facts I got from other websites no where do I say I wrote this information I'm just spreading the truth and thats the goal of the website I got the information from. http://punkvoter.com/dls/dls-flyer-gwb_resumer.html Research any of the FACTS listed you can prove the information for yourself.
yeah I feel alot safer after we bombed Iraq. after all, it WAS Iraq who destroyed the world trade centers. and I dont see any frequent beheadings on TV by militants gee, I feel like making a vacation over to the middle east right now, because, hey, Im an american, and because we showed IRAQ who was boss, I dont feel threatened by any possible terrorist.
Yeah and I didn't feel threatened after the African embassy bombings or the Cole attack, but that didn't stop 9/11. If we feel threatened now, it's only because we've opened our eyes and are no longer blissfully ignorant. Just because we were previously unaware of the threat, doesn't mean that it didn't exist. I'm glad that Iraq never will be a threat to U.S. security again, regardless if anyone "felt" threatened previously.
The real threat is our own government. Iraq is much more of a threat now than it ever was. Our president has created many more terrorists. 9/11 was an inside job. Our government does NOT protect us, it allows such heinous events as Sept. 11 to happen (or arranges them) in order to justify such things as preemptive wars and restricting civil liberties. How can you not see this. Take the flag off your eyes.
O.K. So all that will change with the Kerry administration? And we can expect a full disclosure of the govt's involment with 9/11 from the Kerry admin.? ....please
I do hope you realize that Iraq was not the blamed one for 9/11. Iraq was never really a major threat. There was no reason for invading Iraq. But please enlighten me as to why we did. In you views.
Saddam was a threat because he had numerous reasons to hate the U.S., due to flawed U.S. foreign policies over the last four administrations. He not only had good reason to hate us, he also has tried to strike us in the past. He tried to have a U.S. president assasinated. I don't care if it's a president that I hate. No country ought think that they can fusk with us like that and suffer no repercussions. Al-Queada thought that and look what they did. I'm no longer willing to wait to be struck at home. Taking the fight to the enemy is the way to go. I never said anywhere in any post that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. I'm also not saying Iraq had anything to do with the yet unsolved Anthrax attacks. It amazes me how short people's memories are.
"I'm glad that Iraq never will be a threat to U.S. security again" Bush is no better than Hitler, and I mean that literally: lies --> wars (That wraps up THAT debate, doesn't it. And we don't even know how many millions will die before this Bush monster is done.) When Bush said he had absolute 100% positive incontrovertable evidence that Iraq had enough weapons to destroy the USA, we believed him. Kerry was right and consistent- you SHOULD be able to trust a president in such matters, and his stance has been clear and consistent. I was fooled, and at a time when my son was seriously considering enlistment. A crime against my family, my trust, and my nation that I will NEVER forgive. Bush lied, and that lie has caused a devastating blow to more than a thousand American military families, a devastating blow to our military, and a devastating blow to our national credibility. We've simply never had such a beast in our national political "debate." A War Crimes Commission will need to deal with him in the harshest manner. It's only a matter of time, but Bush will find himself facing the music, I assure you. When the Fox News viewers realize what tools they've been, and how their kids have been flushed down a craphole, they're going to be EXTREMELY bitter as well.
People that say things like that well... ok before i get high and mighty , point out 5 things that prove your point. I asked someone else how the iraq war is same as Vietnam (never got a reply) ... do you think so ??? if so maybe you could explain that one as well ??? crossing fingers hoping for a reply
Seeing as we didn't find any WMD in Iraq...yet, I'm wondering where they went. He for sure had them when he used them in Iran and Oh yeah, his own country. Where did they go? If I'd destroyed them, I would have shown it. Something else happened to them. We'll find out eventually. At any rate at least Saddam is in no position to use them. I think that Al-queda thinks the weapons are there too. I think that it's a race between Zarqawi and the U.S. to see who'll find them first. That's one race we can't afford to lose. Bash Bush all that you want. He's not someone that I'd choose to hang out with, but he is doing his best to protect this nation. If anyone is so gullible to think that politicians don't lie, then I've got some very valuable swampland in Florida for ya' Kerry will only be a different liar. Sorry.
Narrow minded statements like those drive me banannas. Consider for a moment what we do know as fact. Saddam at one time had WMD Saddam hates the U.S. Saddam is crazy but not stupid O.k. If I was Saddam and I wanted to hide my weapons from the U.S., where would I put them? Me, I'd put them all in containers and ship them to operatives in the U.S., through a neutral country of course, so that they're already at the target and all that remains is to deploy them. Doesn't anyone wonder from where the Anthrax came? Wake up people! For all we know, the terrorist may have chemicals or even nukes already here in country. We'd better continue to persue all of our enemies until we have the answers. This is just one possibility. I can think up lots more, and I'm not that smart. Also, I'm offended when someone assumes that I don't think for myself by inferring that my views are shaped by right-wing news organizations. This couldn't be farther from the truth. I pay attention to all of the news, NPR as well as Fox. I filter though what's bullshit and come to my own conclusions. Saying that Bush lied only makes you appear to be a product of left wing news. Maybe Bush was lied to as well. Did you ever think of that?
If Saddam had WMDs wouldn't he use them when we were killing his sons or when he was hiding in fear of life? In fact Saddam wasn't able to put up much of a resistance at all...
Why do you think that I or anyone else would know the answer to that? I can think of a few reasons though. Maybe they were hidden so deeply that they were not easily deployable. Maybe they're hidden in another country. Maybe they're already deployed here. Maybe maybe maybe. I want answers. How 'bout you? Don't you want to know what happened to them? The future of our security here may depend on that answer.
You have been stating that Iraq was a danger to the U.S. and that Iraq had WMD. Hidden so deeply they were useless? What military adviser would okay that bonehead plan? When we invaded Saddam threw all he had at us in a desperate struggle to keep ahold on his power. If he had WMD he would have used them. Why throw rocks when you have a boulder?
