A defenisve war is the worst thing you can when fighting, I think the French will stand up to that fact, I mean were on the defensive before we got hit, and Russia was on the defensive trying not to to much in Chechnya, and look how they've been hit, but you know, since we went on the offensive, have we been hit?

the french barely fought a war at all, the french military just gave in. the french fought the war from the inside where they knew they could do the most damage once they're occupiers were on their turf. and Russia was and has been on the offensive in Chechnya for a very long time. they've demolished chechnya, and yet it only feuls the chechyan rebels cause.


There are 6 billion people on this globe, you think the CIA monitors what every single one says, and you know how many fake and false reports they get every day?

they don't need to monitor 6 billion people, less than 1/100th of those people are in a position where they can do anything to affect the current situation, and even then only a handful of those feel or express their dissent, which the cia and fbi are perfectly capable of monitoring.

That's true BlackVelvet, but Bush-supporters tend to latch onto soundbites without doing any investigations of their own into the validity of those allegations.
Oh yes, Kerry is so awful for volunteering for Vietnam and then coming back home to oppose it! Yeah war is great!!

 

There is something called the "Fox effect". Fox gets good ratings so, eager to amass more $, other media emulates them. Other stations disguise their slant a bit more, I mean, it would be hard to top the blatant spin of Fox.
T.V. in general is sickening and I don't watch it, but so-called "news" on T.V. is the worst. Jingoistic crap, if you don't support Bush you are with the terrorists and you hate America. Right.

Yea I like what kerry says. Lets wait for them to attack us again and then we will go to war. Hope they don't use a nuke this time. And Kerry is going to make sure all our troops have muskets to defend us with. Keep your powder dry boys. And think of all the money will save when he exchanges our tanks for horses. And I sure hope he throws in a drummer boy for good measure. The Facts are the military is strong because of Republicans supported the weapons systems we now have, Kerry did not. You know, I think i'm going to vote for Bush. Maybe Kerry can run next time with Jane Fonda. Besides,if you go to North Viet Nam you will find a picture of Kerry hanging in their government building today. They like him so much because he sold this country out, and I don't want a traitor for president.

Of course the republicans didnt forget about 9/11, why would they? They're using those dead bodies to make themselves look better. You really think this is such a worthwhile war? Take a look at some of the facts. The children and woman dying in Iraqian hospitals from our bullet wounds, dying from our bombs. How about you check out the Iraqians already dead. You think 1000 of ours is bad? How many do you think have died there? 1000 is just the number of US Soldiers. You forget that this number represents actual human life. People with wives and children back home. These men arn't going to live to see another day, eat another meal. They're never going to be able to kiss their wife goodnight or tuck in their little kid. I really hope you don't have a family of your own. But if, by some miracle, you do, think about how you'd feel if your wife got shot on the way home from work today. Not that great. Just because you've never met these soliders dosnt mean they arnt somebody.

This is war is going nowhere, and helping nobody, and it's amazing how you can make your self believe that by the United States being in Iraq, we're going to stop an attack and save the world. Grow up and face reality.

If the main thought is that any war is wrong i can understand that.. if war is acceptable under the right conditions i can understand that. But all i see is that a war is going on its not going well ... because no one seems to be talking with each other...so people are screaming this war is wrong .. would it be right if it was going too plan and not so many people were getting killed..its a realy easy solution ... you talk with the people that are killing your people .. I personally did not oppose us attacking the taliban and Bin Laden (if you can call it an attack) but I do oppose the war in Iraq. Those are two different things, althouh the current administration would have you believe that they are one in the same. Do you actually like it when your gov't tried to pull the wool over your eyes? It's time to let 9/11 rest, its old news as far as im concerned and im sick of hearing about it. Those victims who lost there lives will never be able to rest in peace. It is a sad time in our history but it is time to move on.
