The U.S has also the stigma of being the largest exporter of weapons in the world. It continues to export weapons to Saudi Arabia which is waging a war in Yemen, currently suffering "the worst humanitarian crisis in the world." US maintains support of Saudi-led coalition in Yemen war even as NATO allies stop selling weapons One would have thought that with all this weapon selling business, the US can at least spend a fraction of its immense profits in ensuring that refugees coming to the U.S. are placed in humane camps, till they leave, as a show of compassion and humanism at least.
No, you screwed up and now you are trying to make out "over stay illegals" are a thing Over stayers Over stay their visa, thats why they are called over stayers, they enter the country legally initially, the hint is with the word visa
In the event of a worse case scenario of a nuclear holocaust between the U.S, Europe and Russia, Latin America perhaps will be the only places of sanctuary for Americans fleeing nuclear devastation and radiation. The better Latin America is, the better for the Americans if such a scenario comes to pass. The Americans should consider this possibility in their political and emergency doctrines, and for this reason try to bring about a better standard of living in Latin America through educational aid, infrastructural and economic development and better relations with them for this matter.
Meh. I find there's also something to say for the assertion they should only stick their noses into their own national affairs for a change. As lode pointed out after idahocowboy's comments on how altruistic the USA has invested in certain latin american countries, most of their meddling was out of self interest and monetary gain. Investing honestly in such countries economically to keep possible immigrants there is more in everyones interest. Same with Europe and countries beneath the Sahara. But no bullshit measures and tactics. And no second agendas. Like in the past and actually currently still also
No, you have misunderstood my synopsis of Republican Party bigotry. Republicans whine and cry about Spanish and Muslim people while all along they consent to that which White people violate of America's laws.
And now you have even taken any mention of visas out of the equation and gone with the very broad "Republican Party Bigotry" Which in itself is Bigotry if you are just going to assume they are all Bigots. Visa overstayers start off in the country legally, why would any country then lock them up, thus keep them in the country they overstayed in? It was a dumb argument to begin with. A dumb way to try draw parrallels
That's exactly what the Republicans want. That's exactly why they voted for Trump. You are starting to understand!
Those are death camps. Not all concentration camps are/ were death camps. "Concentration camp: a place where large numbers of people (such as prisoners of war, political prisoners, refugees, or the members of an ethnic or religious minority) are detained or confined under armed guard. Yawn You say concentration camps, people think of The Holocaust Lefty Media lost the battle as soon as they started trying to call them concentration camps. Totally the wrong strategy. Ridiculous Trying to label these detention centres, with air conditioning, portaloos, TV, foil blanket and bed for each person concentration camps is akin to the women on an airplane complaing about third word conditions because someone forgot to stock the tofu salad she pre-ordered
These camps are deplorable, and they should be called concentration camps. It should remind people of something totally awful and unacceptable. What do you want to call them? "Detainment facilities" I suppose. And then the average Joe on the street can be like, "OH NO! NOT A...'DETAINMENT FACILITY!!" Yeah, sure. Call them what they are by definition: concentration camps. Maybe you'll reach one or two people who won't sleep so cozy and snug in their warm beds at night knowing that there are concentration camps in the USA. Because there ARE concentration camps in the USA.
No one is comparing it to Auschwitz, you're the only one making that connection because you dont understand that the term concentration camp encompasses more than just nazi death camps
