In the event of a worse case scenario of a nuclear holocaust between the U.S, Europe and Russia, Latin America perhaps will be the only places of sanctuary for Americans fleeing nuclear devastation and radiation. The better Latin America is, the better for the Americans if such a scenario comes to pass.

Trying to label these detention centres, with air conditioning, portaloos, TV, foil blanket and bed for each person concentration camps is akin to the women on an airplane complaing about third word conditions because someone forgot to stock the tofu salad she pre-ordered

These camps are deplorable, and they should be called concentration camps. It should remind people of something totally awful and unacceptable. What do you want to call them? "Detainment facilities" I suppose. And then the average Joe on the street can be like, "OH NO! NOT A...'DETAINMENT FACILITY!!" Yeah, sure. Call them what they are by definition: concentration camps. Maybe you'll reach one or two people who won't sleep so cozy and snug in their warm beds at night knowing that there are concentration camps in the USA. Because there ARE concentration camps in the USA.

 

No one is comparing it to Auschwitz, you're the only one making that connection because you dont understand that the term concentration camp encompasses more than just nazi death camps
