They ARE concentration camps

Your statement hints at the racism at the core of this. How are these people different is it since they are poor or they are Spanish? We have poor white English speakers here who MAGA often say we need to care for first. They are the salt of the Earth and not an issue.

Under international law a person fleeing a war zone is not an "illegal". They have special rights to skip the long legal process of citazinship.

This is very true. Many Germans did not really understand the camps but I will not make a fetish of the time period and apologize for them as you do. In this way MAGA is worse I guess since they have the knowladge of the media. There was no TV or Facebook in 1944.

 

Nazis and Germany are famous for doing it the "best". Germans are good engineers it's why I admire that part of their history. If something is built they do it properly and its purpose is done well. To history Nazis are camps.

Well tbh I think you'd find that you Americans have the best concentration camps from a clinical point of view. German camps were mostly engineered around railroads for one specific purpose. Trafficking. The conditions would have been much more appalling than what you MAGAs let happen in your camps.

So you admit the current camps are inhumane? That is something we can agree on. But as far as I know no latin people are the victims of genetic experiments such as the ones in Germany. Both were bad in their own ways.

Hmm I'd never have thought you were Nazi, always thought you argued against them. Me, well you guys will believe what you want to believe me so I'm not going to try and swing your opinions of me. I know what I am, not all that interested in what anybody else thinks of me.

I have interests in WW2 for obvious reasons, my family fought in it and so I always stick up for the soldiers as that's what they were, soldiers. Quite highly decorated too, and that had nothing to do with being a Nazi or a racist either, that was men looking after their friends and fighting for their country. They didn't know what was happening behind them, they were soldiers and that's who I stick up for.

Its like I've already said, there are people fighting in the US army now that aren't Trump supporters, yet they're fighting his war still. No difference to the soldiers of the wehrmacht either you know, despite popular beliefs, soldiers were just men, not this evil portrayal of Nazis everyone makes them out to be. The German army was a well respected unit by almost every enemy nation, it's your tabloids and political propaganda that make them into monsters, but not the army themselves.

So when my grandfather earned himself the first class iron Cross for pulling his troops out of burning tanks while directly being shot at by the Russians, and people want to look past that heroic deed and call him a racist Nazi, well I'm going to have a problem with that because the only thing on his mind was saving the lives of his countrymen, not what other units were doing in. My other grandfather signed up for the army to see the world, there were no evil Nazi reasons people come up with, like he didn't even care about the political regime of his own country anyway. He was young and wanted to see the world. Joined the army. He didn't join the army so that Germany could win and eradicate certain people from the world. I know that's what everyone wants to believe but seriously, people need to wake up to themselves.

As for MAGA, no I don't support Trump. I don't care about him either but I'm on HF for a good time so I don't mind stirring the pot. But you know what that is like.

What else do I have to answer... Am I nationalistic? Yeah maybe, I don't know. I don't know what that means but I don't think it's bad to have pride in your country or your countries national citizens. I don't think it's bad to wave a flag or stand and sing an anthem. I don't think it's wrong to look after your own countries people first either. People look after their families first, I see no difference. If that makes me whatever you want to call me then so be it, but it's not going to bother me. But I do believe in multiculture too. So while one half of me is proud to be who I am, then the other half of me does not really fit into nationalism. I'm also attracted to Asian women and African American men and as of right now, have only been with women so I dunno, you can call me a Nazi but I think it's laughable.

Finally, I don't want to have the past erased I don't know when I have ever said that. Wish maybe the past would be shed amongst the same light as I preach, but I understand why it's not and that's cool too. Of COURSE the places the children and adults (and I can't stress CHILDREN enough) are being made to stay are concentration camps. Just because they MAY NOT be killed, does not mean they aren't concentration camps. good grief. How intentionally obtuse some of you are.

EACH border crossing is supposed to, by law, be places that one can LEGALLY seek asylum. I had no idea prior to this reign of terror of DOLT45, that he and his people could basically change or stop what is has been legal for years and years and years. (Apparently I'm learning just how much power and harm a president can cause without starting a war...and I'm not holding my breath he won't do that before all is said and done.) Unless someone has a criminal background, they are supposed to be able to at least seek asylum AT BORDER CROSSINGS. DOLT45 and his people have stopped this. 2 big differences between german concentration camps in WW2 and those holding illegal immigrants in present day USA are 1) a lot of the german ones can adequately be described as death camps. And 2) they were mainly for detaining and exterminating legal german citizens, not holding illegal immigrants until they can either get out and stay in the country or get transported to their country of origin.

But yes, both technically fit the definition of a concentration camp. But no, they can't be equated with eachother in all facets in terms of nastiness. Nazi Germany takes the cake there obviously.

Right about now we have too much on our plate to spend resources on those dumps. We have been giving them aid for decades, with nothing in return because it goes in to the pockets of their criminal governments. Sometimes you just gotta say, "the lifeboat is full"

 

I think it was a jab at us city folk. It's a broad generalization and wrong on several fundamental levels.... my city has draconian policies dealing with the homeless, despite the fact that they're obviously failing; But the issues are unrelated to the topic and the city vs rural divide deserves it's own tread.

I will simplify this so you could understand it:
1) Trump and the Republicans say chain migration and people who stay in America are the problem.
2) Trump and his Republicans want to put these chain migration over-stay illegals in camps.
3) In a silly sort of way, Trump and his Republicans want to put the illegals in concentration camps.
4) Number 3 is a Republican Nazi Euphoria thingy, makes Trump feel racially superior.
5) Trump and his Republicans make special exceptions for White persons in CHAIN MIGRATION cases.
6) Trump and his Republicans are all about racial discrimination.
