When I got caught on a 7,400 volt eletrical line back in April of 1969, I found myself looking at things from a spiritual perspective as Howard Storm. I was a Christian then, and had no fear. Yet I could clearly see things that only a spiritual prespective would allow.
I recall a conversation with a person I knew who told me how he was eating a meal with his grandfather who was sitting across from him, when suddenly his grandfather looked up with a startled look on his face and yealled out, "Oh no, they are coming for me." At that very moment, his grandfather fell over and died. Such experiences are more common than you think, and to believe it's all schtick that you simply rule out of your mind, is not a good way to consider evidence. Such experiences are happening all over the world, and in the cases where people do survive, often they can recount events in which there is no physical explination of how they could of seen, or even of know how certains things near or around them happened. The accounts, and experiences of Hell are the most disturbing ones of coarse. I have had incounters with demons myself over the years, and I'm here to tell you, they are real.

 

About the whole afterlife issue, there may be an essence that humans have that stays around after we die, which could explain certain abnormal or supernatural events. But there is no higher spirit, he ain't there.

 

Well the Bible claims there is a higher spirit, and as proof it gives a number of prophecies to back up it's claims. Jesus Christ fulfilled the 300 prophecies of the Old Testament to the letter, and all of the future prophecies that speak of the end times are coming to pass in our genertaion. This would include the sealing of Jerusalems East Gate, the return of the Jews to Israel, and their recapture of Jerusalem by force. And all of this is occuring as we approach Gods third day. There are a number of other prophecies that are being fulfilled as well, and the world seems to be oblivious to them. God said that just before He would return, there would be perlious times here on earth. Christ said if it were not for His return, man would destroy Himself. Based on what I see happening in the world, and the way so many nations now want nukes. I would say Christ knew exactly what He was talking about.

It's because of Christ and God himself that people are killing each other. Fuck the prophecies, the only one who is right is Nostradamus.

There is one humanity. People are killing each other because they do not know this.

If it weren't for Christ and God (or Muhammad and Allah, or Moshiach and YHWH, or . . .) then two things would happen.

1) There would be nothing, no ideals, no vision, no wisdom, nothing there waiting for those who finally outgrow their egos and realize they have not yet even begun to know everything.

and

2) Those who refuse to know the simple fact that there is one humanity, those who insist on an "us versus them" view of the world, would, just as ignorantly, find another excuse to satisfy their desire for violence. They would simply, and just as destructively, find another identity to rally under.

Jesus asked only that human beings love one another and know God. If anyone obscures this simple idea, it is probably (hopefully) just their ignorance talking. If not, then they are probably trying to take advantage of your humanity for their interests.

You are always invited to give more thought to these things, to know more truth more deeply.

Ok, I'll embellish the Nostradamus thing...

He correctly prophesized Hitler, Napoleon, 9-11, Henry VIII's divorce, The Cold War, and a possible 3rd World War which events that he has prophesized are unfolding as we speak. He states that the Anti-Christ will come from Asia, which could be Sadaam Hussein, but that the war that he starts will cause a great war of proportions like no other. Can you imagine how much bitterness is between countries and the people within those countries (ie. Democrats and Republicans, the possible Civil War in Iraq). This could all lead to the worst cataclysmic (sp) events in history.

That's why I say Nostradamus was right.

 

First of all, Jesus did not come to the world to create peace, but rather to divide.

Second, the Bible has been correct up to this date with a 100% accuracy... Notradamus has not... also many of Notradamus' prophecies he got from the Bible.

No you're wrong. Caeser Constantine when he legalized Christianity, changed the gospels to take out the fact that Jesus had brothers and sisters, and possibly had children with Mary Magdalene. She wasn't even a prostitute, she was an heiress to a large fortune.

In fact they made the whole book gender biased. They demonized women, which is one of many reasons why I don't follow Christianity, because they changed so many things in the Bible, and have been lying to us.

Actually Nostradamus took some of his prophecies from the Bible, and people are killing because they are evil, and this was clearly demonstrated when evil people killed Christ. And the prophecies in the Bible which speak of the return of the Jews to Israel in the latter years, and their retaking of Jerusalem, and the sealing of the East Gate are all true. So before you say, "Fuck the prophecies". Maybe you should try reading them first.

 

If Constantine changed the Gospels, why are the Gospel prophecies correct?Did Constantine predict the future. And the Bible does speak of Jesus extended family, so I don't know where you got that one. And the Mary Magdalene story has no substance to it, and even most of your more liberal scholars will tell you that much. It appears, you are baseing your belief system, on Hollywood movie scrips.
And I might remind you it was Christianity that lifted the status of woman. Not the other way around. And it was woman the first discovered the risen Christ. If the Gospel had been tampered with, I'm sure they would of stated that a man first made the discovery.
The Dead Sea Scrolls were written long before Constantine, and they were discovered in 1947, if the Gospels had been changed, they would not agree with the Scrolls. Yet the prophecies found in the Scrolls only verify what the Gospel has already told us. And this is why prophecy is so important.

 

No Mormons say that Jesus reincarnated as a Native American and brought a tribe of Jews to America almost 1000 years before the first European settlers. But Joseph Smith read all of this from a hat .

And I did not base that statement of Hollywood Movie Scripts. I read the Da Vinci Code, and Cracking The Da Vinci Code, which is a reference book explaining the factuality of things that are stated in the book. And there is hard evidence besides that piece of shit you call The Bible, that states that Mary Magdalene was indeed a wealthy land owner, not a prostitute, and that Jesus may have had siblings, and children.

And the stories from the Gospels are most definitely embellished about Jesus. The only way any of that bull shit is possible is if Jesus was the product of a genetic cross breeding experiment done by a race of superhuman aliens. Mary was their guinea pig. That seems to be the only logical conclusion to what Jesus really is. But then again, they could've just embellished it. Jesus might as well have been considered the first televangelist. He probably made people believe that they were no longer blind, deaf, crippled, stricken with leprosy, etc.

Seriously, how can organized religion promote a message of peace, when it tells you that you cannot do certain things, which could possibly be vital to existence.
