yup....they are airing it again on the ION channel......a very small, overlooked channel, so you might have to look it up....but hey, every night, for an hour, I get the wonder years again.....im so stoked...

not a problem.... only about half of em work half the time though.... and to the other poster yes I agree Karen is def. the shit!! I never realized how pretty she was when it was on tv before and I was a youngin

 

i grew up watching this show with my sisters. it was great. recently i came across an episode (there was a marathon or something bout a year back and i was visiting my parents therefore had access to a TV)... but watching the show as an adult gave me an overwhelming sense of emotional nostalgia. i cried. it reminded me how hard it can be when you're real young, and how much i could relate to some of the characters.

Wow, I was just thinking about making a thread about The Wonder Years when I came across this.. I used to be obsessed with this show as a child, and I wanted to BE Winnie Cooper, lol. Now I've started watching it again on ION and appreciating it again in a new way. Great show. Really, really, really good show.

 

Also, I freaked out hearing that song after not watching the show for 10 years... then it starts to come on and I'm like "OH SHIT! With A Little Help From My Friends?!?!"

 

LMAO I liked that Joe Cocker song but I never knew what song it was until years after the show went off it seemed. That's cool though that it's a show one can appreciate in new ways with each different viewing. I cried sometimes at the end, when Kevin moved away I think it was, someone did,. maybe it was Paul.

Was it towards the end of the series because I remember there was many hurt feelings among the cast in the show, perhaps it was her?

'Kevin Arnold.' My first crush. I actually met Fred Savage over the summer and told him he was my first crush when I was 5 years old, lol. I love The Wonder Years. It's such an awesome, feel good show.

I think Karen was my favorite character. I am a lot like her.

She and the whole show is probably the reason I am a hippie today.

This thread needs bumpage. The Wonder Years is a wonderful show. I might have to watch some of it again soon. My heart still turns to mush when I hear Joe Cocker's cover just because of the impact this show had on me.
