you're missing the point deadhead, the problem is not that there are drugs at festivals, but that you are talking about it openly on the internet, even saying which festival. imagine if LE came across this thread. they may contact appropriate agencies and suddenly your Vibes has 3 times more LE fucking everyone over than if you hadn't blatantly spoke on the internet about how Vibes has mad drugs yo.
Nobody was violent. I saw 1 fight and it was stopped by random people in about 3 seconds. They got arrested for selling shit to undercover cops. I don't know about you, but I like to be able to trust everyone I talk to at festivals. I don't like having to worry if the guy I just bought a bag of pot from is gonna arrest me. Yeah, but it's only in the last few years that it's been getting publicly announced online. And it's only been in the last few years that people have been getting arrested at festivals. You should not be allowed to even buy tickets. I personally don't go to festivals for drugs. Sure, I do a few, but most of the time I'm not any more than stoned. I may pick one day to trip. It really is about the music, and if it's not for you, find an online source. It's about the same price and you don't have to make it so that I can't see a bunch of good bands together.
I was just wondering where you would be staying. I could definitly afford the tix, but with out a place to stay (i would be coming by myself) i think i would be a little lonely at night.. plz post back, or send me a PM
You camp there, dude. You will not be lonely, there will be 1000s of like minded people camping too. LE is there, and they do not mess with anyone in general. I'm sure they at least hear the nitrous tanks and smell the weed. I don't want to argue that it's good to be talking about the drugs there or anything, the the GOTV site does a good job at squelching that type of conversation....but believe me, the Bridgeport police certainly have more pressing things to deal with than a bunch of hippies getting high. GOTV comes and leaves the place clean, and fewer people get hurt than at sporting events and things like that, so I think they will be allowed to continue. The only time I saw them messing with a guy was when he was laying on the ground (holding on for dear life) right in the area where everyone was going to be walking to the show (right inside the fenced in area for the main stage). They spent a lot of time trying to convince him to get up...unsuccessfully. I think eventually they talked him into moving to a less populous area. These aren't small time cops here, they know what's going on. They know that if they start trying to arrest peaceful people at this festival, it will make things worse for them and for everyone else involved. Anyway....there's a lot of cheaper, more secluded places to camp and take drugs if that's all you're interested in. But if you are into the scene and/or the music, you'll have a lot of fun.
Ok well first of all, I didnt mention anything about drugs. I personally didnt know there was another forum for this, I only post in the psychedelic section. Also even if it is out of place, I still think its right for me to post this here because I dont know who frequents the music section, and I wanted to know whos going that frequents the psychedelic section. Sorry if I offended anyone. But anyway, look for the sign, I may have some "hugs" for you.
i meant the whole reason we go to fests is to "chill out" lol. but arite ill keep my mouth shut. i think peacegrow put it best about how the bport police have more important things to worry about. literally they cant bust people using drugs, cuz they would have to arrest so many people. we smoke blunts within spitting distance of cops, not security, bport cops. and your wrong, im there for the music. drugs are just a great addition. so is nitrous peace out, ill see yall there.:cheers2:
