This "love it or leave it" agrument annoys me.

Did the feminist just say "well this country doesn't let me vote, but I suppose if I don't love it- I should leave it." So of course they'd love it, right?

No, you don't run away from your problems. if something is unjust, stand up and be heard. Look at all the activists we've had in the past. Thank God they didn't "love it or leave it".

What will that do for anybody? Hes talking about the government, I dont think one single person is going to take on the government. Hes right, the USA is the "nicest" place in the world to live but we have a corrupt government. And when you say "for the people, BY the people? We are them they ARE us." I think you need to revise that statement a little bit.

 

As far as it being the "nicest" place to live, well that's subjective. I personally liked living in Europe, but I wouldn't say it was "nicer" or "worse" etc.

And of course people can change the world. They do it everyday. Sometimes in a small way and sometimes in a big way.

I come from Denmark, and you all probally don't know what a Denmark is... No? It's a country in Scandinavia within EU (No way I'm gonna tell you what Scandinavia and EU is, you should all have learned that in elementary school.) In Denmark there's no president but a democratic government system, just as England and all other EU countries - except France and Germany. In Denmark you can ALSO go onto the website and make a homepage about how much the government sucks. Every person within Denmark has "Ytrings frihed = Freedom of speech, no mather he/she's not danish citizen. And every last single vote is counted in Denmark, however you need to have danish citizenmenship to vote. Every person born within Denmark is given danish citizenmenship and can vote on the age of 18. You have no idea how much rage the youth of Denmark unleashed when the government decided to close down their youth-houses in Copenhagen, the capitol of Denmark. They destroyed everything on the streets, shops and others. STILL the immigrants wasn't blamed for it, STILL the government didn't send the FBI to blow off the head of the leader of the rebellion.

I say that USA sucks because almost all of the population thinks with their asses and are some arrogant fat pigs having MCD food in the left arm and the american flag in the other and scream PATRIOISM!!!!!

I say that Denmark sucks because we help USA despite their failure in Iraq by pulling out of their actions. You just don't ruin a country, steal it's resourseses and then claim that the police can handle your thrash you left behind.

All the dead citizens on the 9th of September was just to get a reason for invading Iraq taking the resourseses. What about all the american soldiers fighting down there without any course but the fucking arrogant american population saving some dollars per litre. Denmark's lost soldiers in your stupid war. We didn't come for the gasoil, we came to end the teroism... But it seems like Mr. Bush can't hide all the casualties anymore and does like the former president under the reign of the Vietnam War. All politicians are bought and paid for by the corporations of this and any other country that has a few billion to throw at the senators. Pork barrel politics has been going on for decades, but no-one gives a shit. The corporations make record profits each year and yet most people have no healthcare and to top it off they say that there will not be any social security for the younger folks during retirement. That is fucking bullshit. The government collects our taxes and spends them on anything that is completely useless like the iraq war. All so haliburton can swoop in and collect most of that money for our beloved fuck-up bush and his cronies. This whole world including the poorest fucking people have sold their supposed freedom for capitalism. Fuck money fuck war fuck high and mighty people that think their nice house they went into debt to "buy" makes them any better than any other animal on this earth. not to be a jerk, but id rather live in America then anywhere else. The govt here may suck but im sure there are worse places. i consider myself lucky to be born here in America. even the poorest people in America are better off then some people in 3rd world countries

Flag waving and endless speeches of patriotism do not substitute for facts. Why do people think that "America is #1"?
1. Japan has a much better health care system and longer life expectancy.
2. The Netherlands has much less crime and a higher standard of living.
3. Brazil had the forsight decades ago to develop an alternate fuel and is not dependent on foreign oil.
4. Canada leads the world promoting harm reduction drug policies, decriminalized marijuana and equal rights for all people.
5. China has huge exports (most of which they sell to US lol).
6. Mexico decriminalized personal possesion of drugs.

As for those that make fun of conspiracy theories let me ask you this. Why after terrorist attacks, murder of innocents in WACO, TEXAS and so on is ALL evidence disposed of in a matter of weeks? Mexico decriminalized drug use? Is that why the SPP is being finalized behind closed doors? So can anyone use any drug and not be arrested?

 

I am not saying you will not be "processed" if caught with drugs in Mexico. I am saying that possesion of small quantities of ANY drug will longer be prosecuted in Mexico. Both Mexico and Canada are leading the way with drug law reform while the backward, corrupt leaders of the US continue to build more prisons to house marijuana users. (MAYBE THESE FASCIST PIGS COULD SHIP US ALL TO GITMO). When the next terrorist attack occurs on US soil and many people die, keep in mind that our government was wasting effort prosecuting drug users, searching private mail for medicine and marijuana seeds when these jerks could be concentrating on ACTUAL THREATS TO THE PEOPLE. Most law enforcement personnel these days see the ineffectiveness of the "drug war". Those that do not are fools. When the government declares war on it's own people - it should expect the people to declare war on it.

In Mexico even possesion of small amounts of heroin is not criminal.

The US definately is not the best country in the world... its probably somewhere along one of the most oppressive.
if it was so great... if this was really the land of the free, then i could:
Smoke or consume what i want without worrying about being locked away, even if i didn't hurt anybody
I could express whatever views I want, without being labeled a terrorist and have my every move watched
I wouldn't have to worry about being tazered every time I expressed myself.
