I have had a long think about this one and at first I thought it was tongue in cheek but perhaps its not seeing who had posted it .

I was thinking from another angle and again I am putting Poland in the spotlight .

Poland since it joined Nato has been steadily modernising its arm forces and unlike rest of the Nato members it has been stengthening and slowly ditching its old Soviet era equipment .

When it first joined Nato it had around 600+ old T72M1 tanks of 80s vintage . Around just under 300 were upgraded by the Poles and redesignated PT91 .

The old and obsolete T62 tanks were bumped off and purchases of the German Leopard tank modernised Warsaw's tank force just leaving around 300+ T72M1 tanks on its books from the former Soviet era .

Just as the conflict started Poland started receiving deliveries from the USA for 250 M1A2SEP3 Abrams tanks of the latest specification . These I believe would be to replace the T72M1 tanks of which are not really at Nato standard .
So what will Poland do with these obsolete tanks of which are little value to them ?

The answer - give them to Ukraine as they would make some good use of them augmenting their Soviet and Ukrainian built T64 and T80 tanks .

Thats what I believe has been happening but they have been getting them piece meal to avoid the Western Media picking them up . Whilst I believe in free press ,during wartime you need some sort of censorship ,so as not to inform the enemy of your operations etc.

The Polish border is obviously the gateway for supplies to the Ukraine and that includes "lethal" aid . Thats why Russia attacked the training base near the border thinking training was being done there and storage for supplies .

But listening to out PM Boris Johnson bless him let slip that our boys are training the Ukrainians on the use of the Star Streak Anti aircraft missile system. I know the UK wouldnt risk sending out troops onto Ukraine soil . Therefore, I know we have troops stationed in Poland as Boris met troops there early last month . This is where I am sure the training of Ukrainian troops is taking place .They can then return to the Ukraine after training with these missile systems strapped to T72 tanks :)

I am also convinced they have these infamous MIG 29 Jets from Poland as well . Getting rid of these would fit Polands modernisation programme as well.
It wouldnt take long to get them resprayed and badged up as Ukrainian .The Poles have been working on how to get these aircraft to the Ukrainians for some time now and not been shy to mention it in at least 2 TV interviews but stopped short on how they were going to do it. Its just a coincidence that the Ukrainians have now just got an aircraft umbrella of their own around the Capital . Not bad for a so called defeated airforce :D:D:D:D

Again all these material movements for securities sake will be done covertly and away from the media gaze .

I am sure after the conflict has ceased ,sneaky covert operations will be disclosed in various TV programmes on the conflict .

Perhaps sanctions against Kronshtadt should have been done much earlier . Thats the problem with sanctions ,IMO they do not help Ukraine because of the time it takes for them to take affect. They will help Nato for sure and maybe thats the hidden agenda here ?

  6. I'm sure the US tax payers will contribute a big chunk, which means politically connected contractors and the politicians they support will do very well.

The policy of indescriminate bombardment seems to be a key policy . The best way to counter this is with aircraft and thats what the Ukraine need . They also need counter battery equipment like the radar system below . This will allow the Ukrainian Artillery to pin point as to where the incoming shells and rockets are coming from and then using their own artillery fire on them with accuracy .

So I see-saw an article on Russia’s large gold reserve ...that will be of value rather than paper or streaming money ...of course though it appears that no one will touch the gold and I am sure it is preferred not to be touched

It means they cant sell the Gold on the international markets to prop their currency up ie the Ruble which has plummeted since sanctions were imposed .

This seems to confirm the change of strategy and approach for Russia .

Russian forces are looking to concentrate on the Donbas Region which is in the East . From purely a military point of view this does make sense as resupply will be easier for the Russians and more difficult for the Ukrainians .The civilians in this Region are more sympathetic towards Russia as many are Russian speaking and enjoy Russian culture .IMO ,if it means peace I would have been prepared to give this Region up to Russia but the Ukrainians do not want that and the West have to accept their wishes .

The Russians will find this difficult as the most battle hardened Ukraine troops are in this area with the best Ukrainian Equipment including the best and newest tanks .

The frustrating thing from media point of view is that there are no Western Media teams in this area and so we may be subject to Putin Propaganda without being able to see what is actually happening there. Sky News UK did have a team there but it was just before hostilities began .
