Its hard to say who is and who isn't Taliban which is why the US and UK have probably picked on Iraq as they have been aggressive in the past.

Unfortunately the Taliban is built up from people from many different countries and as they are too cowardly to come out and admit who they are it is hard to attack them. Yes there is Osama and his no 2 (mulawi or something like that) but other than them do the government even know who they are looking for.

Fight the taliban by all means but you've got to work out who is and who isn't first. By attacking states that harbour such terrorists maybe the US and UK are trying to get those states to throw the real taliban into the open. Its not really working but I'm not sure what would.

In my opinoin Bush Dumb F#*k! A greedy oil hog!! We should have kept our noses out of other countries Wars. I guess we didn't learn from the last war (Veitnam) where we stuck our noses in, and messed up! I would rather have Bush be alive, and running than him being dead, and Dick Chaney being the president. He is worse then Bush! I am so looking forward to the day, when ther out of office, and somebody better is president; and I mean a who lot better! I pray this to come. They are ruining everything!:$

A new president isn't going to save you from the american stain.

  5. They went after the taliban already dude. Which I can at least see the point in because they were harbouring the actual terrorists allegedly directly responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Then they jumped on the Iraq bandwagon and pretty much left afghanistan to rot, those tyrannic warlords just took over the place again and old osama is still running around in the hills. Now I wonder if it was worth the 25,000 civilian deaths. So much for "fighting for freedom"

if you look at the northern ireland thing it took hundreds of years to sort itself out. I'm not sure why peace suddenly came about. Maybe people had enough of killing and fighting.

I think a lot of credit has to go to the late Mo Mowlam and even Tony Blair for coming up with the good friday agreement. Even more credit has to go to those three Irish ladies who stood up to the IRA.

    I hope the peace lasts.

Interestingly the terrorists that attacked London in July last year probably didn't know much about London because the tubes they attacked would have been 50/50 muslim to non-muslim.

By attacking London they aren't actually doing that much damage either because its a shit hole already.

  7. So you're admitting the terrorists are more disorganised and incompetent than the media lets on? Are you going to keep up the argument that they have links to Iraq?

About your comment on london its not like you to be uncompassionate, people did die you know.

Of course I didn't want the people to die in those bombs. I spent a lot of time in and around the london area whilst growing up and during my first few work years and there were bombs everywhere because of the IRA. Its a shame that having dealt with one threat there is now another.

The fact that the terrorists came from the midlands (just 50 miles north) doesn't surprise me and if they don't know London well it doesn't surprise me that they chose the tube trains that they did because of the layout. If the terrorists knew London at all they would have come up from the South into Waterloo and taken the Waterloo and City line because that has millions of predominantly White English Businessmen and Women and the tubes are packed solid so the bombs would have caused more chaos.

Of course the London Bombers couldn't attack towers like they did in America because the IRA has already bombed Canary Wharf before which is our tallest building

Everytime I go through London (Every 6 weeks for work) I travel at night because there is less chance of a terrorist attack at night and I don't use the tubes anymore. (I never liked the things before the bombings. too claustrophobic).

I don't think there was much link between our bombings in July and Iraq. I think they were sympathy bombings.

About people joining the armed forces. I think alot of them join because their lives isn't anywhere near their satisfaction at home. I bet you if they had a life similar to that one richie rich kid they would not be enlisting in the military. Others fighting for my freedom, what is freedom anyways? With everyone at peace you wont need to fight.

    My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Many of you have the misconception that the military does not defend freedom. On the contrary, the military does it's best to defend the ideals of our constitution. It's when our crooked politicians choose which battle to fight that causes distrust in the military. The present war in Iraq is a prime example of that. We have no business fighting a war on a soverign nation that posed no imminent threat to the US. But our present political leadership played the fear card on everyone.

I fought in Vietnam and I did it because I felt that it was the right thing to do at the tiem. But I soon found it that we were in a losing cause and the war was not right. However, that did not prevent me from performing my duty. Under great duress, my of my fellow soliders performed honorably and many did not come back. Do any of you know how it feels to have someone die in your arms? Someone that gave their life so that you could live? War is hell and real people die. They are not just another number and the Bush administration is doing a great disservice by not honoring the troops dying in Iraq. Bush doesn't want you to see the flag draped coffins as they are being broght back to the US. I think he should be present during every aircraft that brings back our American dead and salute them for their sacrifice. Bush is a coward and a sleaze bag and he should be impeached for his crimes.

    That's all I got to say...Ali.

Thus US troops should go on strike like the French troops that tried during WWI, the troops should prove to Americans they are not traitors to their class.

there is something called the ucmj. there is something called the commander in chief. we have a c in c who is beholding to the forces opposing international law. that is what he is making war on. i do not condem a solder for fallowing orders but i do hold culpable a command structure that creates wars out of thin air for reasons of political expediency.

That is against the law. The consequence is the death penalty. Many soldiers who believed the Iraq war was a lie fled to Canada during the war but they can never return to US because trials await them.

Soldiers are taught to obey and follow orders, they are not supposed have opinions or express disagreement. Think of them as robots that have no say. Once you join the army you sign your life way to someone else for X number of years.

If you strike or disagree with your boss "Bush" you are a traitor, a lefty, a stupid liberal and unpartiotic.

There are no laws to protect soldiers from corrupt leaders and lies.

    silly hierarchy bullshit.

I am sure once Republicans find out that he opposes the war his heroic story will be smear with conflicting reports about what really happened and all his pictures would be history. I guess they need a new hero to boost the moral of soldiers.
